(VLO) The Provincial People's Committee has just decided to approve the 2025 investment plan of the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation of Vinh Long province, with a total capital demand to invest in upgrading and expanding 11 rural clean water supply works of 29,149 billion VND, including 1 project transferred from 2024 and 10 new projects.
Along with the above capital, the center also plans to install 2,500 new water meters, organize 5 training sessions for more than 1,300 employees on water station management and operation, and periodically conduct internal and external inspections of water quality and safe water supply at 92 water stations under management and operation.
In addition, 8.2 billion VND from the provincial budget was invested to upgrade and expand 3 rural clean water supply projects that were prepared for investment last year. By the end of this year, the province strives to have 99.9% of rural households using hygienic water, of which 96.5% of households use clean water from centralized water supply stations, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to the end of 2024.
