According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang, implementing the direction of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee on the implementation of construction works and projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), towards welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the management board is focusing on working with construction units and contractors to speed up the progress of the Quang Da Bridge project and the approach road to complete the opening of the bridge on March 29, 2025, including the bridge being closed before March 8.

Director of the Da Nang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Project Management Board (project investor) Nguyen Minh Huy said that the project has completed about 65% of the contract value, of which the bridge part has been completed 75% including completion of the piers; completion of casting and installation of 20 I21m prestressed reinforced concrete beams, completion of pouring concrete for the bridge deck of span 1 and span 5; completion of cantilever casting and closing of span T3-T4 (Quang Nam side), completion of guardrails, wheel barriers of span 1/2 of span 3, span 4, span 5; construction of the remaining cantilever blocks is underway (5 cantilever segments, 1 cast-in-place block, 4 closing blocks).
The road, drainage, irrigation ditches, etc. on the approach road have been completed at about 35% of their value. The Quang Da Bridge and approach road project has a total investment of more than 274 billion VND. To ensure the technical completion of the entire route before March 29, 2025, the Da Nang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board has agreed on a plan to close the entire bridge before March 8, and to lay asphalt concrete on the road surface and bridge deck.
Accordingly, this project crosses the Yen River connecting Hoa Khuong Commune (Hoa Vang District) with Dien Tien Commune (Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam) with a total road and bridge length of more than 1.4km, of which the bridge section is 204m long and 22m wide, the approach roads at both ends of the bridge are more than 1.2km long with the starting point (Km0+00) intersecting with National Highway 14B at Km31+087 (in Hoa Khuong Commune) and the end point (Km1+408) connecting with the Northern Belt Road project of Quang Nam Province (in Dien Tien Commune) with a cross-section of 27-34m.
On December 10, 2024, the City Party Committee Office issued Notice No. 707-TB/TU announcing the direction of the City Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang (after inspecting the actual construction of the project), in which it requested to focus on mobilizing human and material resources, taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up the construction progress of the remaining items according to the set schedule, ensuring completion before March 15, 2025 and organizing technical traffic opening before March 29, 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City and welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, implementing the direction of the City Party Committee Secretary, the project management board has coordinated with the contractor to review and rebuild the progress with the determination to strive to complete the construction of Quang Da bridge before March 8, 2025 and to lay asphalt concrete on the road surface and bridge deck to ensure the technical traffic of this project before March 29, 2025. At the same time, coordinate with the investor of the northern belt road project of Quang Nam province to speed up the construction progress of this project, in which priority is given to the construction of the 1.2km section connecting the end of the project to DH12 road (Dien Ban town) before March 29, 2025.
However, the project still has some problems, due to the difference in height between the approach road surface and the natural ground level of about 5m. To complete the construction of the 50m approach road on the Quang Nam side, the northern belt road project of Quang Nam province must soon start the foundation construction of the section bordering the two projects. Therefore, the project management board is coordinating with the investor of the northern belt road project of Quang Nam province to speed up the construction progress, prioritizing the implementation of the section from the end of the Quang Da bridge project to the intersection with DH12 road of Dien Ban town (about 1.2km long) before March 29, 2025.
