After 2 days of competition, the group stage of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Open 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Tournament has officially ended. The most impressive performance in the group stage was the performance of young player Nguyen Thi Nhu Huynh. The female player from An Giang unexpectedly won 2 victories to quickly secure a ticket to the knockout round (round of 16).
Nhu Huynh impressed the connoisseurs when she defeated Nguyen Thi Thu Hien with a score of 21-18, after 50 turns. Thu Hien is a veteran player, having won 3rd place in the 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Open Women's Tournament and is currently in the top 16 in the country.
