Efforts to complete the new rural goals

The year 2025 is of special importance - the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress. With the National Target Program on New Rural Development, the goal of having 83 communes meet the New Rural Development standards, of which 20 communes meet the advanced New Rural Development standards and Quynh Nhai district achieves the New Rural Development district is being implemented by all levels of sectors and localities with the determination to complete the set goals.

By the end of 2024, Son La province will have 74 communes meeting the NTM standards, so the province still needs 9 more communes to meet the NTM standards. Currently, many localities have been focusing on reviewing and re-evaluating the indicators and criteria to support, guide, and concentrate resources to strive to meet the standards in 2025.

Ms. DUONG THI LAN HUONG - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Yen district, Son La: Specifically, in 2025, Bac Yen district will strive to bring the two communes of Ta Xua and Phieng Con to the finish line, striving to achieve the plan targets of the Resolution of the district Party Congress for the period 2021-2025 according to the set plan.

Comrade VU DUC THUAN - Secretary of Muong La District Party Committee, Son La: Muong La District currently has 4 communes meeting NTM standards, in the previous phase there were 3 communes, recently Ngoc Chien commune has also met NTM standards. We will continue to try to reach 1 to 2 more communes, 1 is Pi Toong commune and 2 is Chieng Lao commune.

In 2024, Quynh Nhai had 4 communes meeting the NTM standards, bringing the total number of communes completing this goal to 11/11 communes, of which 3 communes met the advanced NTM standards. Regarding the criteria for meeting the NTM district standards, Quynh Nhai district has achieved 5/9, currently the steps to evaluate and complete the missing criteria are being focused on.

Mr. LO THANH THUY - Vice Chairman of Quynh Nhai District People's Committee, Son La: There are 4 more criteria on cultural institutions and multi-purpose stadiums that the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have paid attention to investing capital for implementation and these criteria will be achieved by 2025.

Regarding the goal of building advanced new-style rural communes, up to now the whole province has 11 communes, so it is still necessary to continue implementing 9 more communes in 2025. Currently, the implementation of general and specific goals has been and is being focused on by functional sectors.
