“Happy House” is a program launched by the Vietnam Youth Union, aiming to mobilize resources from society to help build houses for orphans, children, families with meritorious services, especially ethnic minorities in difficult areas. In recent times, all levels of the Youth Union and Association in the province have mobilized all resources to support and donate many happy houses to people in difficult circumstances in the province.

In March 2024, San Mau Lin, Sin Lung Chai village and Then Thi Bong, Lung Khau Nhin village, Bo Y ethnic group, Lung Khau Nhin commune (Muong Khuong district) were delighted to receive a "Happy House" from Muong Khuong District Youth Union. The house has an area of 54 m2 , including 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, with a total construction cost of 145 million VND/house, of which the Vietnam Volunteer Resource Information Center supported 80 million VND/house, the rest was contributed by the family and local union members and youths supporting working days.
After 3 months of construction, the 2 houses were inaugurated with the happiness of 2 families and the joy and encouragement of the local youth union, party committee, local government and people.

San Mau Lin's family situation is difficult, her mother died early, she lives with her father and older sister in a dilapidated house without any valuables. Despite that, San Mau Lin always tries to achieve good academic results. Then Thi Bong has a particularly difficult family situation, her father died early, her mother left when she was very young, Bong lives with her grandparents. Bong's grandparents are in poor health but still try to encourage her to study hard.
Through the survey, the District Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Muong Khuong district decided to present 2 "Happy Houses" to 2 children San Mau Lin and Then Thi Bong. On the day of the house inauguration, San Mau Lin was moved: Only in my dreams did I dare to think of living in such a spacious house. I thank the Youth Union at all levels for supporting most of the funding and the help of the working days of the union members, youth, and neighbors. I will try to study well to become a useful person for society in the future.
May 2024 is the time when Cao Van Lam, a 6th grade student at Phong Hai Farm Town Secondary School (Bao Thang), received unprecedented joy when the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province supported 80 million VND to build a "Happy House". Cao Van Lam has special circumstances, his father passed away when he was 4 years old, his mother has no stable job, and is often sick, making life increasingly difficult. This money will support Lam and her mother to build a new house.
Sharing his emotions when receiving support, Cao Van Lam said: My mother and I are very happy and lucky. I will try to study well to be worthy of the support I receive today.

“Happy House” is one of the meaningful projects of the Youth Union - Association at all levels to give to children, union members, and youth in especially difficult circumstances, with the will to improve their studies and lives, especially those in remote areas, especially difficult areas, ethnic minority students, thereby contributing to adding strength and motivation to help students, union members, and youth overcome difficulties and improve their lives. “Happy Houses” not only have material value, but are also great spiritual gifts.
Up to now, the provincial Youth Union at all levels has supported 23 "Happy Houses", with a total value of 1.3 billion VND.
Along with donating new houses, the Youth Union and Association also implemented the program "Foster Children of the Youth Union" - providing financial support for each child until they turn 18 years old.

Taking care of orphans, union members and young people in difficult circumstances is one of the important tasks of the union and youth association in the province. With love, responsibility and care, young people of all walks of life always try to help disadvantaged people, bringing joy and happiness, even the simplest ones. We believe that with the care and concern of the community, union members and young people, those in difficult circumstances will have more motivation and conditions to reach a better life.
