Tet is the right time to enjoy happy and meaningful movies. In addition, this is also considered the golden time for the Vietnamese cinema market.
This year, the Tet film race was supposed to see the competition of 3 films: Mrs. Nu's House ( Tran Thanh ) , Sister Sister 2 (Vu Ngoc Dang) and Super LEADER GOT SAI LOOKING (Vo Thanh Hoa). All 3 films were announced to be released on the first day of Tet (January 22). However, at the last minute, the film Super LEADER GOT SAI LOOKING was postponed to March 24, many people believe that the reason was to avoid competing with Tran Thanh's film.

After his debut film Bo Gia with a revenue of 400 billion VND, the audience always waits and has high expectations for Tran Thanh's next film. Because of this stepping stone, Nha Ba Nu continues to exploit the family theme which is the strength of the famous MC.
If The Godfather simply tells about family conflicts, or more prominently, the father-daughter relationship, Mrs. Nu's House is more about the sadness of living in the family's family and meaningful lines about family such as: "I would rather fail in my dream than succeed in my mother's dream."
"Mrs. Nu's House" is Tran Thanh's next family film.
Sharing about his project, Tran Thanh said: " I want to do something to create a habit for the audience when going to the cinema during Tet, which is to watch good movies, not just funny movies. There are movies that will appear every Tet because they only bring laughter. Currently, I want to change this."
Tran Thanh does not deny that he is quite a perfectionist in his work, because according to him , "without pressure there are no diamonds, even pressure does not necessarily create diamonds". He affirmed: "I don't know if my movie is good, but it must be a technical movie".
With the message “Every family has secrets”, the film explores the hidden corners of each member of Mrs. Nu’s family. This project promises to bring viewers a humorous yet touching atmosphere with a lesson about warm family affection.
Sister Sister 2 (director Vu Ngoc Dang)
Sister Sister 2 is a feminist film and is the second Vietnamese film to join the Tet film "race" this year. In the film, director Vu Ngoc Dang focuses on portraying the special relationship between sisters Ba Tra and Tu Nhi - two Saigon beauties played by Minh Hang and Ngoc Trinh.
In Sister Sister 2 , two beauties possessing the top beauty of V-biz received many compliments for their sharp beauty, extremely suitable for the times. The film's setting of Saigon in the 1930s is also considered extremely polished, promising to bring a work that makes the audience admire the visual aspect.

Minh Hang said that when the director invited her, she hesitated because she felt she was not beautiful enough to play the role of a beauty. After that, she accepted because she liked roles with many hidden psychological effects, decided to make up for her lack of appearance with acting skills, and invested in fashion. Ngoc Trinh signed up for a role-playing course taught by Kathy Uyen before filming.
According to director Vu Ngoc Dang, Chi Chi Em Em 2 will follow a youthful, cheerful style, not heavy, suitable to be chosen as an "appetizer" on the first day of the new year. Without sharing too much about the content, he affirmed that it is a rare type of film in the Vietnamese film market.
Super cheater meets super fool (director Vo Thanh Hoa)
As the last Vietnamese Tet film to be announced, Super fraud meets super mud attracts attention with the main cast of Anh Tu, Mac Van Khoa, Nhat Trung... The film directed by Vo Thanh Hoa was conceived in 2018. All the tricks in the film were carefully researched by him and his crew in the hope of creating an interesting experience for viewers.
"Super swindler meets super funny guy" is a fun comedy project suitable for Tet holiday.
Belonging to the comedy genre, the film has all the entertainment elements such as beautiful scenery, funny scenes performed by the comedians in the overall simple story. Super cheat meets super funny promises to bring moments of fun entertainment in the first days of spring and new year.
Deciding to release the film on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2023, Vo Thanh Hoa said that after the success of the film Chi Muoi Ba: 3 ngay sinh tu with a revenue of 108 billion VND, he himself felt a bit of pressure because of the title "hundred billion director". The work will compete with foreign films and Vietnamese films, but he is not afraid to affirm that he wants to contribute to a more colorful Tet film market.
However, just a few days before its release date, Super LEADER GOT SAI LUN was announced to have its release date postponed to March 24. Thus, the Tet movie race became a duel between Tran Thanh and Vu Ngoc Dang with Mrs. Nu's House and Sister Sister 2.
