(Dan Tri) - The abandoned baby girl in Quang Tri is still being cared for by local people and is in good health. The government will complete the birth registration procedures for the baby in the next few days.
On February 4, Mr. Tran Van Cuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Son Commune, Gio Linh District (Quang Tri) confirmed that the abandoned baby girl in the locality is being cared for and raised by Mr. NTM, residing in An Dong Village, Trung Son Commune. The baby is developing normally and is in good health.
According to Mr. Cuong, more than 10 days have passed since the local authorities sent out a notice to find relatives for the child, but no one has come to claim the child. The Trung Son commune authorities will coordinate to make a birth certificate as well as other procedures for the child in the next few days.

"If anyone wants to adopt the child, we will consider the regulations and make appropriate choices. This also depends on the child's fate with a family that truly wants to adopt him," said Mr. Cuong.
As Dan Tri reported, at around 1am on January 22, Mr. NTM (residing in An Dong village, Trung Son commune, Gio Linh district) was sleeping in his house when he heard a baby crying. When he went out to check, Mr. M. discovered a pink plastic basket with a newborn baby girl in it in front of the gate.
The baby was about 5 days old, weighed more than 3kg, wore a blue shirt, was wrapped tightly in a blanket with many items such as diapers, milk cartons, towels, diapers, clothes...
Next to the baby was a piece of paper that read, "I hope the family will adopt my child. I am a student, and because of a mistake I made… The baby girl is healthy and normal, 5 days old. I'm sorry, my daughter, please forgive me."
