Vegetarian dishes priced under 50,000 VND/serving attract consumers.

Mr. Ho Hoang Tham, Director of Ba Xa Vegetarian Cuisine Company Limited (with a chain of 6 Ba Xa vegetarian restaurants), commented that vegetarians are getting younger and younger. Previously, the main customers were middle-aged and older people with high incomes, but now the largest customer group is from 24-30 years old.

"In the near future, we will open a vegetarian restaurant system with prices ranging from 25,000 - 55,000 VND/meal in addition to the current system with a minimum price of 70,000 VND/meal to serve the majority of customers," said Mr. Tham.

Vegan bread is popular

According to Ms. Nhien, the vegetarian trend is "exploding" with huge demand. However, the vegetarian food industry is having to solve two problems: the products must be more delicious - suitable for consumers' taste and cheaper to suit their spending ability.
