The most typical model is the fish farming combined with aeroponic vegetable growing model of Minh Khuong Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative, Ham Yen district. Here, water is pumped from the stream into fish tanks, with a capacity of about 30m3 /tank, equipped with an air generator and a machine to collect wastewater after the fish eat.
Mr. Mai Van Phi, Director of Minh Khuong Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative, said: After being collected, the wastewater will go through a layer of rare earth to retain the residue, and the water will continue to be brought up to water vegetables, the water is reused almost 100%.
In addition, the eel farming model combined with fruit tree planting of Mr. Nguyen Minh Hien's household, Thai Long commune, Tuyen Quang city is bringing high economic value to the family. The eel farming model goes completely against the natural law, that is, raising eels in a muddy water environment, while Mr. Hien's model only raises eels with water, the waste and wastewater are reused to irrigate and fertilize fruit trees.
Mr. Phan Van Thuc, Vice Chairman of Thai Long Commune People's Committee, said: Mr. Hien is a person who dares to think, dares to do, knows how to overcome difficulties to rise up. Mr. Hien's success not only creates an effective source of income for his family but also opens a new direction in economic development, encourages the spirit of learning for many people in the commune, contributes to creating jobs, increasing income, promoting socio-economic development in the locality, more importantly, the model is combining with reusing wastewater and eel excrement to irrigate and fertilize crops very effectively. The commune will introduce and replicate Mr. Hien's mud-free eel farming model for many other people to learn and follow.
In addition to livestock models, hydroponic vegetable growing models for households, businesses, and cooperatives in Tuyen Quang have recently been strongly developed. Although the scale is still small, most households apply it, but people are aware of synchronous investment and thorough reuse of water resources. Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong, in Kim Phu commune, Tuyen Quang city, said: My family has invested in a hydroponic vegetable growing model with modern irrigation technology, covered net houses, ensuring clean and green production. The entire process of growing and caring for vegetables is done with clean water, saying no to chemicals. Seeing the effectiveness, I continued to expand the scale, up to now, there are 2 net houses growing clean vegetables, with an area of over 600 m2.
According to the assessment of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tuyen Quang province, the efficient use of water resources, including water circulation and reuse, is always encouraged by the industry. Water circulation and reuse not only reduce costs for users, but also share opportunities for areas with difficult water resources and contribute to ensuring water security, especially in the context of unpredictable climate change and increasing extreme weather events.
Also according to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tuyen Quang province, in addition to encouraging organizations and individuals to reuse water resources, it will meet the requirements that the National Assembly has just passed the Law on Water Resources (amended). It emphasizes the content: Applying advanced techniques, technology, and equipment in exploiting and using water; increasing the ability to use circulating water, reusing water; storing rainwater for use... thereby actively contributing to protecting water resources, ensuring water security and safety.
