On the afternoon of June 25, in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province), a conference was held to promote investment, develop trade and tourism with Indian partners with the participation of hundreds of delegates, representatives from the central to local levels and investors from India and Vietnam.
At the event, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Do Thanh Trung said that India currently ranks 25th out of 146 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with 407 projects and a total registered capital of over 1.02 billion USD. Leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment pledged to create conditions and accompany to remove obstacles if Indian investors come to invest in Binh Dinh or other localities in Vietnam.
At the conference, representatives of major Indian investors introduced a number of areas in which they wish to cooperate and invest in Vietnam and Binh Dinh province. Among them, Mr. Payyaula Sai Venkat Kisshan, President of the Indian Robotics Association, wishes to cooperate with universities and research institutes in Vietnam in training human resources to develop the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
On this occasion, Indian partners signed a memorandum of understanding on investment cooperation and technology transfer with Binh Dinh province. In particular, the Indian Robotics Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in transferring and training human resources in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics with Quy Nhon University.
