People start traveling through Phong Chau pontoon bridge, Phu Tho

On the morning of September 30, after Brigade 249, the Engineer Corps completed the installation and technical inspection of the field pontoon bridge to replace Phong Chau Bridge (Phu Tho Province), vehicles on both banks of the Red River were allowed to pass through the bridge.

Hundreds of vehicles passed through the newly installed pontoon bridge to replace the collapsed Phong Chau bridge. People's movements were monitored by authorities to ensure safety.

Starting at 6am, a large number of people and vehicles from Lam Thao and Tam Nong districts moved across the bridge, complying with the requests of the authorities.

According to the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province, after the Engineering Corps (Ministry of National Defense) completed the installation of the pontoon bridge and issued a notice to ensure traffic safety, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province announced the traffic flow and organization through Phong Chau pontoon bridge, as follows:

People, rudimentary vehicles, motorbikes, and scooters (including electric motorbikes) are allowed to travel across the pontoon bridge in two directions, with a maximum speed of 5km/h.

Cars and pickup trucks are allowed to travel across the pontoon bridge in one direction, each direction lasts 10 minutes, the minimum distance between two vehicles is 30m, and the maximum speed allowed is 10km/h.

Vehicles and people traveling through Phong Chau pontoon bridge must comply with the organization and traffic flow of the functional forces; traffic time for people and vehicles traveling through the pontoon bridge is from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day (in special cases, the Engineering Corps will have a specific announcement).
