Day and night construction of coastal road

At key bridges such as Cay Khe 2, Cay Khe 7 and Cua Lap 2, contractors are concentrating machinery and working day and night to take advantage of the dry season.

Cua Lap 2 Bridge has been closed. The contractor is completing the bridge deck and auxiliary items. Mr. Hoang Tran Thanh, Deputy Commander of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company, said that the construction force is completing the road section at both ends of the bridge, installing steel railings, asphalt pavement, installing traffic signs, and making road markings. The project is expected to be completed in early April 2025, 1 month ahead of schedule.

Cua Lap 2 Bridge is a modern traffic project, designed with sturdy reinforced concrete, wide bridge deck, suitable for both motor vehicles and small vehicles. Workers worked all night to complete the project on schedule.

Package No. 20 of the Cua Lap 2 Bridge Project, including the section from Lo Voi Intersection to the end of the route and the viaduct through Ky Van Cape, has completed site clearance and construction of service roads. The contractor is actively implementing the construction of bored piles and bridge piers. Under the scorching sun, workers are working day and night to stay close to the construction site, making every effort to ensure progress. The project is expected to be completed on February 5, 2026.

The project to upgrade and expand provincial road DT994 is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026. When completed, the route will connect Cai Mep - Thi Vai port, Long Thanh airport and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, contributing to promoting local tourism and connecting two famous coastal tourism centers of Vung Tau and Phan Thiet.

The project is nearly 77km long, divided into 8 packages, of which 5 packages are invested by the Traffic Project Management Board. Package 17, from Nha Lon Long Son roundabout to National Highway 51, has been completed more than 90%. The road surface has been paved with asphalt, signs, lighting and trees have been installed.

The project will become an important part of the regional transport system, meeting the travel needs of residents and tourists, contributing to promoting the local socio-economy.
