Leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association visited the booth displaying and introducing OCOP products of Thanh Hoa province in Hanoi.
To support members and farmers in accessing knowledge and improving practical capacity, ready to participate in the digital transformation process, the Provincial Farmers' Association has coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and units to organize training courses to equip them with knowledge and skills on digital transformation; guide and support farmers in applying digital technology to production, registering trademarks, brands, agricultural product protection certificates and putting agricultural products on e-commerce platforms. The Provincial Farmers' Association has signed a cooperation agreement with Thanh Hoa Telecommunications on digital transformation for the period 2023-2028; coordinated with the Provincial Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Quality Control, the Provincial Post Office to organize training courses on digital transformation in promoting and consuming goods and products, associated with the consumption of OCOP products, on putting agricultural products on e-commerce platforms Postmart.vn and guiding livestreaming and selling on social networking channels. At the same time, coordinate with relevant units to support trademark registration for products and goods; support training on good agricultural practices, certification (VietGAP, VietGAHP) and support traceability stamps and labels; guide and support production and business households to carry out food hygiene and safety procedures.
In addition, the Provincial Farmers' Association also strengthens connections, creating conditions for members and farmers in the province to participate in a series of events on trade promotion, advertising, introducing, and connecting markets for OCOP products and agricultural products inside and outside the province. Integrating programs and projects, building many green agricultural production models, applying high technology, effectively and sustainably such as: organic duck farming linkage model in Ha Vinh commune (Ha Trung); biosafety chicken model in Minh Son commune (Ngoc Lac) and commercial chicken farming development model towards biosafety in Xuan Hong commune (Tho Xuan). Supporting the building of brands, labels, and traceability stamps for 82 products; 19,000 stamps and labels; directly mobilizing registration and guiding the construction of 77 new OCOP products. The association at all levels coordinated with agencies, units and enterprises to organize 3,308 training courses on science and technology transfer for 351,060 officials, members and farmers; built 52 typical models of high-tech agricultural production and production linkage according to the value chain.
Keeping up with the current 4.0 era trend, the Farmers' Union at all levels in the province has been actively accompanying, supporting, and guiding members and farmers to gradually apply digital technology in production. Many cooperatives have promoted the application of science and technology, digital transformation in the production process, introducing and promoting products to consumers through e-commerce platforms such as: Postmart.vn, Lazada, Shopee; supply-demand connection software nongsanantoanthanhhoa.vn; social networking sites such as: zalo, facebook... to meet new customer requirements, at the same time, aiming to build brands and develop sustainable products.
Typically, Binh Son Agricultural and Forestry Service Cooperative (Trieu Son) has been successful with 4 OCOP products: clean tea, honey, green tea bags and climbing tea bags. In recent times, to improve product quality and keep up with market trends in the 4.0 era, the Cooperative has actively applied science and technology to production, focusing on innovation and improving the aesthetics of product packaging and labels; at the same time, aiming for digital transformation in agriculture. The Cooperative has been active in using social networks, building websites, participating in e-commerce trading platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, Shopee, and supply-demand connection software at nongsanantoanthanhhoa.vn to introduce and promote products to consumers across the country. Thanks to that, on average, each month, the Cooperative exports about 2 - 7 quintals of various products to localities inside and outside the province.
Or the bird's nest farming model of Mr. Nguyen Van Tu's family, Kien Long village, Hung Loc commune (Hau Loc) with Yen Thanh products meeting 4-star OCOP standards, has appeared in large, reputable supermarkets, shopping centers, restaurants, luxury hotels, recognized and highly appreciated... Thereby, it has contributed significantly to creating a breakthrough in productivity, quality and competitiveness for agricultural products.
Mr. Tran Binh Quan, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, said: “To continue to effectively implement digital transformation in agriculture, contributing to the construction of new rural areas in the province, the Provincial Farmers' Association continues to promote propaganda to raise awareness of members, farmers and society about the role and importance of applying digital technology in production and business in the agricultural sector. At the same time, focus on training, improving qualifications, capacity to access and apply digital technology in agricultural production for farmers. Strengthen training and coaching to provide knowledge about digital transformation in agriculture to business owners, farms, members of cooperatives and cooperative groups; build and transfer models to support members and farmers in digital transformation. Guide members and farmers to directly participate in building big data on agriculture to decide on appropriate production and business directions...”.
