Today, August 8, Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung chaired the regular citizen reception session in July 2024 at the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee headquarters. Attending the reception were leaders of Party committees, departments and branches.

At the headquarters of the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee, there were 5 cases of citizens registering to reflect and petition to the Provincial Party Secretary, including Mr. and Mrs. Hoang Xuan Lam, in Gio Linh town, Gio Linh district; Le Hong Lai, in Quarter 2, Gio Linh town, Gio Linh district; Le Thi Hanh, in Tram Ly village, Hai Quy commune, Hai Lang district; Nguyen Thi Lap, in Ward 1, Quang Tri town; Nguyen Manh Loc, in Ward 1, Dong Ha city. All petitions were related to land such as additional land allocation, land dispute resolution, compensation, site clearance, and execution of land judgments.
After review, the above 5 cases do not fall under the category of citizen reception by the Provincial Party Secretary according to Regulation No. 11-QDi/TW of the Politburo and Regulation No. 33-QDi/TU of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee and have been received by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at previous regular citizen reception sessions, and have been assigned to relevant agencies and localities for verification and handling.

However, to ensure citizens' rights, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung requested departments and branches to report in detail the content of the case and the handling process. In addition, he requested that competent agencies enhance their responsibilities and review the handling process of specific petitions to ensure citizens' rights. He requested the Department of Justice to direct the Lawyers' Association and the Provincial Legal Aid Center to support citizens in exercising their rights to petition, complain, and denounce, contributing to protecting citizens' rights.
