The US military said its F-15 fighter jets arrived in the Middle East on November 7 after Washington announced the deployment of additional weapons to the region as a warning to Iran.
"Today, F-15E Strike Eagles from the US Air Force's 492nd Fighter Squadron and Royal Air Force Lakenheath arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility," AFP quoted the US military command in charge of the Middle East as saying on social media.

Earlier, on November 1, the US said it would send bombers, fighter jets, tanker aircraft and a ballistic missile defense destroyer to the Middle East.
“If Iran, its partners, or proxies take advantage of this moment to target US personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take all necessary measures to protect our people,” Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said in a statement about the additional weapons deployment to the Middle East.
The increase in US fighter jets to the region comes as Iran is believed to be preparing to launch a new retaliatory attack on Israel, in response to Tel Aviv's October 26 airstrike on several military facilities in Tehran.
Observers fear that the tit-for-tat attacks between Israel and Iran risk erupting into a large-scale conflict, drawing in more parties and causing unpredictable consequences for the entire region.
In another development, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on November 7 that Israel has made some progress in getting aid into Gaza but more needs to be done. Last month, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary Austin wrote to Israeli officials asking for concrete measures to address the worsening situation in Gaza.
Reuters quoted the letter outlining specific steps Israel must take within 30 days, including allowing a minimum of 350 trucks into Gaza daily, pausing fighting to deliver aid and cancelling evacuation orders for Palestinian civilians when not necessary.
