The following article is the regulation on tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for students studying at educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.

On July 16, 2024, the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City issued Resolution 12/2024/NQ-HDND regulating tuition fees for public preschools, general education institutions, continuing education institutions, and other training institutions implementing general education programs in Ho Chi Minh City, applicable from the 2024-2025 school year. Accordingly:
(1) Tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for public preschool and general education institutions that are not self-sufficient in regular expenditures are as follows:

In there:
- Group 1: students studying at schools in Thu Duc city and districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Tan.
- Group 2: students studying at schools in Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be and Can Gio districts.
(2) Tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for public preschool and general education institutions that self-finance regular expenses: educational institutions shall establish tuition fees based on economic-technical norms and cost norms, and submit them to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval by the City People's Council.
(3) For continuing education institutions and other training institutions implementing general education programs, tuition fees are applied equivalent to those of public general education institutions at the same level in Ho Chi Minh City.
(4) The tuition fee for online learning is 50% of the tuition fee issued by public educational institutions. The tuition fee is rounded to the nearest thousand dong.
Note:
- 5-year-old preschool children are exempt from tuition fees from the 2024-2025 school year (effective from September 1, 2024).
- Secondary school students are exempted from tuition fees from the 2025 - 2026 school year (effective from September 1, 2025).
- The tuition fee for primary school level specified in section (1) is the basis for implementing the policy of supporting tuition fees for private primary school students in areas where there are no public primary schools and for private primary school students who are eligible for tuition exemption and reduction policies according to regulations.
- Resolution 16/2022/NQ-HDND of the City People's Council regulating tuition fees for public preschool and general education for the 2022-2023 school year and subsequent school years in Ho Chi Minh City expires from August 1, 2024.
A public service unit that self-insures its regular expenditures is a unit that meets one of the following conditions: - The unit has a level of self-guarantee for regular expenditures determined according to the plan prescribed in Article 10 of Decree 60/2021/ND-CP equal to or greater than 100% and has not self-guaranteed investment expenditures from the Career Development Fund, retained fee revenue for expenditures according to the provisions of law on fees and charges, and other legal financial sources according to the provisions of law; - Units providing public career services in the list of public career services using the state budget, ordered or bid by the State to provide public career services at prices that fully calculate costs (excluding depreciation of fixed assets). (according to Clause 2, Article 9, Decree 60/2021/ND-CP) |
