How much is a 500,000 VND pile?
According to Article 4 of Circular 01/2014/TT-NHNN, regulations on cash packaging are as follows:
A bundle of money consists of 1,000 bills of the same denomination and material, packed into 10 sheaves. Each sheaf contains 100 bills.
A sack of money includes 20 bundles of money of the same denomination and material.
A bag of money contains 1,000 pieces of metal coins of the same denomination, packed into 20 bars. Each bar contains 50 pieces.
A box of coins contains 2,000 new coins of the same denomination, packed into 40 bars. Each bar contains 50 coins.
A box of coins includes 10 bags of coins of the same denomination.
These regulations help ensure that cash packaging is carried out in a standardized and convenient manner during transportation and use.
According to the convention of the State Bank of Vietnam, a stack of 500,000 VND includes 100 bills. The total value of a stack of 500,000 VND will be equivalent to 50 million VND.
So a stack (bundle) of 500,000 VND has 1,000 bills and is worth 500 million VND.
