More than 1,000 athletes participate in the provincial student sports competition in 2024-2025

(QBĐT) - This morning, April 10, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 provincial-level student sports competition at Phan Dinh Phung High School (Dong Hoi City).

Implementing the plan to organize the provincial-level student sports competition for the 2024-2025 school year of the Department of Education and Training, 8 Departments of Education and Training of districts, towns, cities and 30 high schools organized district-level and school-level competitions and attracted a large number of high school students at all levels to participate.

Through the competition, the Department of Education and Training and high schools selected 1,015 athletes to compete in 3 events, including: Swimming with the participation of students from primary to high school (male and female) with 3 events: Freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke. Volleyball with the participation of middle school and high school students (male and female). Badminton with the participation of middle school and high school students (male and female).

The Organizing Committee attended the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 provincial student sports competition.

The Provincial Sports Festival for High School Students in the 2024-2025 school year is identified by the Organizing Committee as an annual sports festival for students throughout the province; a place for high school students to demonstrate their spirit of solidarity, teamwork and sportsmanship, helping them to improve both physically and mentally.

The contest also affirms the results of the movement of studying and practicing health of general education institutions in recent times and for the education and training sector to draw valuable experiences to effectively direct physical education work in the new period.

The 2024-2025 provincial student sports competition attracted 1,015 athletes to participate.

Through this provincial-level high school sports competition, the Department of Education and Training will also select outstanding athletes to represent high school students in Quang Binh province to participate in the national sports competition in the coming time.
