The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the North will have rain, scattered light rain, and cold weather on the night of December 3 and the morning of December 4.

On the night of December 3 and December 4, Thua Thien Hue to Khanh Hoa will have showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, in some places over 80mm.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas.

The meteorological agency warned that in the coming hours, there is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many districts in the provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Ninh Thuan and Dak Lak, Kon Tum when these areas continue to have rain. Specifically:

Quang Tri: Dakrong.

Thua Thien Hue: Phong Dien, A Luoi, Huong Tra, Phu Loc, Nam Dong.

The North East Sea area (including the sea area of Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 3-5m high.

In addition, the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to Kien Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the southwestern sea area between the East Sea and the South East Sea (including the sea area of Truong Sa archipelago) will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7-8.
