Opening ceremony of Viettel's Talented Internship Program season 5.
More than 500 excellent students were selected from more than 5,700 domestic and international applications in the preliminary round launched in early March 2025. Compared to 2024, the number of applications this year is nearly double. Viettel also set a target that after the program, 50% of participating candidates will be officially recruited.
Young talents have the opportunity to directly participate in Viettel's key projects, in 9 key areas: Data Science & AI, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Semiconductor and Aerospace.
The Talent Trainee Program lasts 6 months with 2 main phases: Intensive training, career orientation (3 months) and participation in real projects with salary (3 months).
In the initial phase, talented interns will have their knowledge reinforced by a team of leading domestic and foreign lecturers and experts from universities and large technology corporations.
In phase 2, students will improve their practical skills, participate in projects proposed by the Board of Directors of Viettel centers and units, and directly solve key problems to meet customer needs. Innovative and breakthrough technology ideas will then continue to be selected to present to the Group's leaders. At the end of the internship, individuals who demonstrate their abilities will have the opportunity to officially work at Viettel even before graduating.
Participating in this year's season, candidates will receive support from interns from previous seasons, taking on the role of connecting, consulting, and answering all questions of students throughout the program, from the application step to the competition and internship rounds.
At the opening ceremony, Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, affirmed: “In the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo, the country will take scientific breakthroughs as the driving force for growth and this responsibility belongs to the young generation. Viettel appreciates and is honored that many young technology talents who have not yet graduated or have just graduated have chosen Viettel as a place to try their hand. During the training process, we hope that the interns will be enthusiastic about research, boldly challenge themselves with difficult and new tasks, and not be afraid of failure. Viettel is committed to creating an ideal working environment for you to maximize your abilities, contributing to the development of the Group and the country.”
Deployed annually since 2021, the Talented Internship Program is part of Viettel's strategy to develop young human resources in the technology sector to fulfill its pioneering mission of creating a digital society. The program is designed by leading Viettel experts, helping young talents discover their potential and develop expertise in high-tech fields, while experiencing a professional working environment. Over the past 5 years, Viettel Digital Talent has increasingly proven its attractiveness and effectiveness. By 2025, Viettel's internship training program had attracted more than 11,000 applications from home and abroad, with more than 800 students winning national and international awards.
