The forum is an opportunity for delegates to discuss: (1) High-tech application solutions in building supply chains, from production, transportation to smart consumption; (2) Proposing mechanisms and policies to support small and medium enterprises to participate in the digital economic ecosystem; (3) Creating conditions for technology startups to access support resources from local and international sources; (4) Connecting technology enterprises and local authorities to jointly develop a digital economic model suitable to the characteristics of the province.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC emphasized that the Forum creates a space for connecting local leaders, business communities, experts and investors to discuss the direction of digital economic development. Digital transformation does not stop at technology, but is a comprehensive change in development and operational thinking.
NIC plays a connecting role between the Government, localities, businesses and leading technology corporations such as Dassault Systèmes to build a sustainable innovation model, starting from potential localities such as Vinh Phuc.
The forum "Building a local digital economy on the basis of high-tech supply chains" was organized by the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province in coordination with NIC, the Ministry of Finance, and Dassault Systèmes Group (France).
Vinh Phuc's strategic vision in innovation and digital transformation
According to the Resolution of the 17th Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Congress and Action Program No. 85-Ctr/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, the province aims to promote start-up activities, innovation, development and application of scientific and technological advances, and make good use of opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution for socio-economic development.
In the coming time, the province will prioritize attracting and developing high-tech electronics industry clusters, turning Vinh Phuc into the country's electronics industry center, while continuing to implement digital transformation programs, attracting investment in advanced industries and international cooperation to develop a knowledge-based economy.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, said that Vinh Phuc is one of the dynamic and creative localities with many favorable conditions for developing the digital economy. With a strategic location - located in the Northern key economic region, adjacent to Hanoi, with synchronous traffic infrastructure; With a diverse industrial ecosystem - it is the destination of many large technology corporations such as Toyota, Honda, Piaggio, Compal, ...
With high political determination from provincial leaders to grassroots, along with the support of the business community, people and especially, with the strategic orientation of becoming a center for developing high-tech industry, logistics, smart cities and modern services, Vinh Phuc is gradually transforming strongly in the digital age.

From traditional manufacturing to digital industry and smart cities
Digital transformation in the manufacturing sector is considered a strategic step to help local businesses accelerate in the global competitive environment. At the Forum, Dassault Systèmes solutions such as DELMIA or ENOVIA, integrating AI, ML, IoT technologies, allowing simulation, planning and optimization of the entire process from factory to market, while managing extended supply chains and customer relationships... were presented.
According to Mr. Ding Ming Chee, General Director of Business Development for South Asia - Pacific of Dassault Systèmes, Vietnam is making progress in the industrial and manufacturing sector. Dassault Systèmes is committed to accompanying localities like Vinh Phuc to build strong internal capacity, develop an integrated, digital, sustainable industry and connect to the global network through digital twin technology (Virtual Twin).
In addition, Mr. Watanabe Akira, General Director of NTT e-MOI, especially emphasized the role of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Internet of Things (IoT) in modern factory management. In the near future, when Vietnam's manufacturing centers increasingly face challenges in terms of land funds, energy costs, human resources and environmental standards, comprehensive management - digitalizing regional value chains - will be the key to helping localities not only maintain growth rates, but also improve the quality of development towards smart, green and sustainable.
