On the evening of August 8, at the Center for Culture and Sports of Ethnic Groups in the Northeast , Tien Yen district solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Liberation Day on August 8 (1954-2024) and receive the Emulation Flag of the Government.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vi Ngoc Bich, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vu Van Dien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; together with former provincial leaders, leaders of departments, branches, localities of the province and a large number of cadres, party members and people in the district.
The past 70 years have been a glorious journey for the entire Party Committee, Government and people of Tien Yen district. Inheriting and promoting the achievements of the construction and innovation process, continuing the growth momentum, with the major policies and orientations of the Central Government, the close leadership and direction of the province has oriented the vision, mechanisms and policies to help Tien Yen district change and develop remarkably. The district has comprehensively completed the tasks of Party building; promoted administrative reform; developed the economy - society rapidly and sustainably; preserved and promoted traditional cultural values; firmly ensured national defense - security and increasingly improved the quality of people's lives, making important contributions to the construction and development of Quang Ninh province and the country. Tien Yen is one of the first two districts in the country to achieve the Advanced New Rural standards.
In 2023, the total production value will reach over 5,073 billion VND, 32 times higher than in 1986 when the renovation began; the average income per capita of the whole district in 2023 will reach nearly 77 million VND/person/year. The whole district no longer has poor households according to national criteria. The infrastructure system has been invested synchronously, key and dynamic projects have been put into use (such as: Khe Cat Lake; Dai Phong road; Dai Duc - Dai Thanh road, Van Don - Mong Cai expressway; Northeast Ethnic Culture and Sports Center and rural traffic system to villages, hamlets, ...).
In recognition of these efforts, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Tien Yen Liberation Day; the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Tien Yen district were honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, congratulated and praised the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Tien Yen district have achieved over the past 70 years. At the same time, he expressed his respect and gratitude to generations of local leaders and people who have worked hard to cultivate, wholeheartedly build, preserve and promote the good traditional cultural values to build Tien Yen to develop more and more sustainably.
To realize the aspiration of building a model Quang Ninh, rich, beautiful, civilized, modern , building Tien Yen is rich and civilized with the characteristics of "Beautiful nature - Unique culture - Civilized society - Transparent administration - Developed economy - Happy people", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee, Government and people of Tien Yen district to continue to do a good job in building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be truly clean and strong. Strengthen inspection and supervision work; promote democracy, the strength of the great national unity bloc, consolidate people's trust. In the immediate future, focus on preparing well and successfully organizing the 26th District Party Congress, term 2025-2030, which is truly a convergence of the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, continuing to kindle the aspiration to build Tien Yen rich, beautiful, unique and civilized.
Along with that, build Tien Yen district as the cultural center of the Northeast region of Quang Ninh province; as a traffic hub of the Northeast region of Quang Ninh province and the Vietnam - China border region; as an industrial and logistics development area, a key processing and trading area for agricultural and forestry products; an auxiliary area for economic zones (Mong Cai, Van Don), and Ha Long urban area according to the approved District Planning to 2040, with a vision to 2050.
The district needs to focus on rapid and sustainable economic development; economic restructuring associated with strong innovation of growth models, transformation of development methods, improvement of agricultural economic efficiency, development of organic and ecological agriculture, enhancement of application of science and technology; harmoniously linking urban and rural development, promoting regional and intra-regional linkages; continuing to invest in building model new rural areas.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wishes Tien Yen must strive to be a typical locality in the Eastern region in implementing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on building and promoting cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource and driving force for rapid and sustainable development. At the same time, continue to pay attention to and take care of ensuring social security; develop education and training, socio-culture, vocational training, and health care for people, especially in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas; ensure national defense and security; proactively grasp and forecast the situation early and from afar, promptly handle arising issues; create a favorable environment for economic - cultural - social development.
Within the framework of the celebration, delegates, people and tourists went back in time, immersing themselves in the proud feelings of the struggle to protect the homeland, the construction and development of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Tien Yen district over the past 70 years and the aspiration to build Tien Yen into a modern, rich cultural identity, becoming the cultural center of ethnic groups in the Northeast of Quang Ninh through a special art program with the theme "Tien Yen: The heroic epic of aspiration to reach far".
The elaborately staged epic art program highlights the unique value of Tien Yen's rich history, unique culture and beautiful nature, with a structure of 3 chapters: Tien Yen - the epic (from the beginning until the liberation of Tien Yen on August 8, 1954); Tien Yen - the journey to protect and build the homeland (from 1954 to before the liberation of the South in 1975) and Tien Yen - where the dawn awakens - the aspiration to reach far (from the liberation of the South in 1975 to the present).
Also on this occasion, in the district, many practical cultural, artistic and sports activities took place to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Tien Yen Liberation Day to create a vibrant and joyful competitive atmosphere among the people such as: Producing and publishing a collection of literary and artistic works of Tien Yen district, composing songs about Tien Yen; exhibition of paintings and art photos about the land and people of Tien Yen; contest to learn about "Tien Yen 70 years of construction and development"; youth camp; colorful folk dance festival; OCOP fair...
