Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee said: "This is a special, annual tourism event of the province. At the same time, it is also an important tourism event that contributes to honoring the heritage, nature, culture, and unique tourism identity of Tam Coc - Bich Dong scenic spot to domestic and international friends and tourists. Tam Coc rice fields were once voted by the travel website Business Insider as one of the 5 most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam. Besides the aesthetic beauty, geological and geomorphological values, Tam Coc also contains many traces of human history from tens of thousands of years ago, creating the premise for the formation of the 10th century Hoa Lu capital, unifying the nation, and reviving Vietnamese culture".

Tourism Week 2024 is one of many activities in response to the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage (2014 - 2024). At the same time, this is also an opportunity to promote and introduce Ninh Binh's tourism products and services to domestic and international tourists.
This event takes place with many unique, impressive and characteristic cultural and tourism activities; through a special art program at the Opening Ceremony, viewing the artistic rice fields, experiencing wet rice cultivation; performing and displaying traditional handicraft products, OCOP products of the province; Tam Coc Golden Season photo tour; survey program, introducing Ninh Binh tourism products. All create a vibrant cultural space, promising to leave a good impression in the hearts of domestic and international tourists.
To continue to develop Ninh Binh tourism, the Provincial People's Committee hopes to continue to receive more attention and support from central ministries, branches, other provinces, the consensus, joint efforts and creativity of the local community, cooperation between travel agencies, tourism businesses... to promote the potential and strengths of Ninh Binh tourism, attract more and more tourists, become an international destination and become one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam.
Ninh Binh Tourism Week takes place from June 1 to June 8, 2024.
