Statue installation ceremony, incense offering ceremony for famous physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Zen Master Tue Tinh

(VLO) On February 12, 2025 (January 15, At Ty year), Vinh Long Province Oriental Medicine Association solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the ancestral temple, installed the statue and offered incense to the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Zen Master Tue Tinh, at the premises of Long Ho District Oriental Medicine Association (Long Hoa hamlet, Loc Hoa commune).

Leaders of Vinh Long Provincial Oriental Medicine Association, Long Ho District People's Committee, District Oriental Medicine Association and Loc Hoa Commune People's Committee performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the temple of the founder of medicine Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Zen Master Tue Tinh.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province; leaders of departments, branches, Long Ho district People's Committee, Loc Hoa commune People's Committee, Oriental Medicine Associations at all levels, members, oriental medicine practitioners, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Oriental Medicine Association introduced the background, career and dedication of the two founders of traditional Vietnamese medicine; learned about the 9 teachings of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong; cut the ribbon to inaugurate the founders' shrine and conducted the incense offering ceremony for the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Zen Master Tue Tinh. The founders' shrine was completed from socialized funds mobilized by Oriental Medicine Association members and benefactors inside and outside the province, with a total of over 240 million VND.

The medicinal herb garden in the area has statues of the famous physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Zen Master Tue Tinh.

The ancestral temple will be handed over to the Long Ho District Oriental Medicine Association for management and maintenance so that the Provincial Oriental Medicine Association can continue to organize the anniversary ceremony in the following years. The Vinh Long Provincial Oriental Medicine Association has gone through 30 years of establishment, formation and continuous development, contributing to the health sector in caring for and improving people's health in the field of Oriental medicine.
