For more than 30 years, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, through different periods of development, the cooperative movement of the province has made great contributions to the cause of protecting and building the homeland. Especially since the first Law on Cooperatives was promulgated by the National Assembly in late 1996, to the Law on Cooperatives in 2003 and now the Law on Cooperatives in 2012, it has been an important legal basis for cooperatives in the whole province to continue to consolidate, innovate and develop sustainably. As the core, the Provincial Cooperative Union has closely followed the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and the province's socio-economic development program. At the same time, it has coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, departments and branches of the province to advise on policies and mechanisms, creating conditions for the collective economy and cooperatives to develop more and more sustainably. Thereby, improving the efficiency of production and business activities, creating a solid foundation for household economic development, contributing to poverty reduction, joining hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, and actively contributing to the province's annual GDP growth target.
Up to now, 100% of cooperatives in the province have converted to new cooperative models, gradually improving management capacity, focusing on discovering, nurturing and replicating many cooperative models. Up to now, the province has 208 cooperatives, 49,095 members. Total operating capital is nearly 4,000 billion VND, revenue in 2022 is 964.68 billion VND, profit is 35.2 billion VND. In addition, many new cooperative models have been formed associated with product value chains, building typical products of regions, 3-star and 4-star OCOP products.

The Provincial Cooperative Union, together with departments, branches and localities, focuses on building an action plan towards efficiency and sustainability, raising awareness of the nature, position, role and importance of the collective economy. In addition, the Provincial Cooperative Union needs to actively coordinate with the agricultural sector and local authorities to propagate and mobilize people and cooperatives to produce in chains, linked with the processing industry, ensuring sustainability and high efficiency. Strengthen the application of science and technology, clean agricultural production, organic agriculture.
