The novel Kaleidoscope by Nguyen Nhat Anh was adapted into a TV series in 2004 (produced by Ho Chi Minh City Television Film Studio under Ho Chi Minh City Television, directed by Nguyen Minh Chung and Do Phu Hai) and received a warm welcome from the audience. The 2024 film version of Kaleidoscope by Vo Thanh Hoa will be made in the genre of adventure - school - comedy.
Kaleidoscope is a series of stories revolving around the interesting school life of three young children: Quy Rom, Tieu Long and Hanh.
Kaleidoscope by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh was adapted into a movie by producer and distributor Galaxy Studio.
Quy Rom is smart and clever but likes to brag, Tieu Long is honest, good at martial arts and righteous, and Hanh - "a walking dictionary" - is calm and patient. The 3 friends who seem very different are attached to each other thanks to their adventurous spirit and warm personality, always caring and loving to everyone around them.
Writer Nguyen Nhat Anh shared about his passionate story series for Vietnamese children: "In the kaleidoscope, the petals constantly change shape, the colors of the flowers constantly change, there are tens of thousands, millions of flowers like that, and wonderfully, no flower is the same among the tens of thousands, millions of others. I wish my Kaleidoscope books would also bring young readers something similar: just shake it, a new story appears."
20 years ago, the images of the trio Quy - Long - Hanh were vividly recreated through the performances of the actors: Ngoc Trai - Vu Long - Anh Dao. This will be a challenge for the movie version to find the next generation of Quy Rom, Tieu Long and Hanh.
The team of "hundred billion director" Vo Thanh Hoa and producers 89S Group and Galaxy Studio are holding a casting call to find actors to take on the roles of this famous trio of Vietnamese school children.
