As part of a series of activities responding to the month of action for children in 2023, on the morning of June 20, at Thanh Tan commune swimming pool, the Sports and Culture Center, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the District Youth Union, and the Kien Xuong District Red Cross Society organized the opening of a free swimming class to prevent drowning for 40 disadvantaged students in the district.

Students are given swimming goggles for their studies.

In addition to free swimming lessons, the children will also receive swimming equipment from the organizers. During the 10-day course, swimming teachers will provide the children with necessary knowledge about swimming; guide them in practicing basic swimming movements and skills; and ways to prevent drowning and respond to drowning.

Through the class, we aim to raise awareness of drowning prevention, equip children with necessary swimming skills, contribute to ensuring children's safety, reduce unfortunate accidents; at the same time demonstrate the role and responsibility of community organizations in caring for and accompanying teenagers and children.
