Prosecuted young man beat person to death after traffic collision

On the evening of May 23, the Investigation Police Agency of Phu Yen Province announced that it had initiated a case and prosecuted Le Chi Dat (born 1995, Cung Son town, Son Hoa district) for the crime of "Murder".

Previously, at around 10:30 p.m. on May 21, a traffic accident occurred on Le Duan Street, Ward 7, Tuy Hoa City. A car driven by Le Minh Hoang (born in 1969, residing in Le Trung Kien, Ward 1, Tuy Hoa City) was traveling north-south when it collided with a motorbike driven by Le Chi Dat in the same direction.

After the collision, Dat fell to the road, sitting in front of the car and cursing. Mr. Hoang opened the trunk, took out a metal baseball bat and hit Dat's leg.

After being beaten, Dat grabbed a stick and hit Mr. Hoang on the head, knocking him unconscious. Dat continued to kick Mr. Hoang's neck several times before leaving.

Afterwards, Mr. Hoang was taken to Phu Yen General Hospital by local people for emergency treatment with a fractured skull and then transferred to Binh Dinh General Hospital.

By the morning of May 22, Le Chi Dat had turned himself in, and Mr. Hoang died in the hospital after 2 days of treatment.
