(CLO) Projects and works in phase 2 of the Vietnam Military History Museum project need to consult experts and researchers in the museum industry.
The Vietnam Military History Museum is under construction and will officially open to visitors from November 1, 2024.
The museum currently holds more than 150,000 artifacts, including four national treasures and many other valuable artifacts.
In particular, the Vietnam Military History Museum has put into operation a series of technologies of a modern museum such as: 3D mapping sand table technology to illustrate typical battles and campaigns such as Dien Bien Phu Campaign; Ho Chi Minh Campaign...

Along with that are information lookup screen devices, photo media, automatic audioguide explanations and QR codes to look up information about artifacts, images and more than 60 video clips introducing campaigns, battles and historical figures; artifacts on display have QR codes; technologies to experience reenacted games and virtual reality.
During its operation, the Museum has not only been a place to display historical war artifacts for visitors, but also a space for lively experiences and interactions, helping visitors better understand the struggles for independence of our army and people. At the same time, the Museum has also become a suitable venue for organizing major political, cultural and artistic events of national significance.
After completing phase 1 and putting it into use with high efficiency, in order to further promote the effectiveness of the museum, relevant agencies and units have researched, proposed, and developed a plan to implement phase 2 of the Vietnam Military History Museum project.
The contents of the implementation of phase 2 of the Vietnam Military History Museum project were discussed and commented on by delegates at the meeting on the afternoon of February 5.
Accordingly, a number of items including: Expanding outdoor exhibition space; indoor exhibition project; service assurance area project; expanding the scale of parking lots, restrooms... are proposed to be implemented next.
Concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, suggested inviting experts and researchers in the museum industry to give their opinions on projects and works.
At the same time, relevant agencies and units need to coordinate closely and continue to complete construction investment project items in phase 2 according to the approved plan; propose and report items that need to be adjusted, revised, and supplemented in accordance with regulations on construction investment management.
