Groundbreaking ceremony of 2 projects belonging to President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area in Nghe An

This is an important event to implement the content of the Plan for conservation, restoration and promotion of the value of the special national relic site of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1943 dated November 27, 2020 and is an event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of T&T Group (November 30, 1993 - November 30, 2023).

The Cultural Tourism Area Project of the "Special National Monument of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site" was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in principle for investment under Decision No. 85 dated August 25, 2021, with the goal of building an eco-tourism and commercial service area as a satellite to support and promote the value of the special national monument of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site.

Through public bidding and the results of evaluating the investor's capacity and experience, Trang Thi Trading and Service Joint Stock Company (a member unit of T&T Group) was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province as the investor to implement the project according to Decision No. 154 dated December 9, 2021.

The Cultural Tourism Area Project is located in the newly constructed area of ​​the relic complex, next to existing relic clusters such as Sen village relic cluster, Hoang Tru village relic cluster, Chung mountain relic cluster and the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan (mother of President Ho Chi Minh).

According to the plan, the project is deployed on an area of ​​over 43 hectares, including parking lots, trees, services and landscape trees, commercial service area; cultural center, tourist service area, experimental area, agricultural conservation, public traffic... with a total investment of over 1,735 billion VND.

In addition to the Cultural Tourism Area project, T&T Group has also proposed and been approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province to be the sponsor, completing the idea, design plan and investing in the construction of the 9-storey waterfall at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan.

The project is being implemented on the basis of renovating and restoring the existing natural stream, promising to become a highlight of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area. Each floor is sculpted with a type of flower to express gratitude for the birth and upbringing of President Ho Chi Minh's mother.

The project is inspired by images and symbolic objects associated with the life of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan in particular and Vietnamese women in the 19th century in general, such as mirrors, water surfaces, lotus flowers, turbans, and Hoang Tru village gates...

The central circular lake is inspired by images imbued with East Asian culture, like a mirror reflecting the entire Nam Dan sky and symbolizing the intersection between history, present and future. The circulation of water through 9 levels carries discreet, "symbolic" ideas for eternity and expresses the deep remembrance of visitors to the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province said: "With the enthusiasm, capacity, experience, potential and responsibility of T&T Group, closely coordinating with the Department of Culture and Sports, Nam Dan district and related departments and branches to implement the Cultural Tourism Area project and the 9-storey Waterfall project in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation, completing and putting the project into use soon.

The cultural tourism area and the 9-storey waterfall will become symbolic cultural works, commensurate with the value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology and culture in his homeland, contributing to creating and promoting good cultural values ​​and bringing benefits to the community, making a positive contribution to the economic and social development of the province."

Mr. Do Quang Hien, Chairman of the Strategy Committee of T&T Group, said that the group was honored to be assigned by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Nghe An province to survey, plan, design, and construct the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area in Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Nghe An.

"We realize that not everyone is lucky or honored to be assigned this sacred mission. Therefore, we are willing to put our hearts and minds into it, focusing all our resources, enthusiasm and intelligence to carry it out. T&T Group has consulted leading foreign experts, invited historians and cultural preservationists as advisors, listened to the guidance and comments of former leaders, leaders of the Party and State, leaders of Nghe An province, bringing the world's quintessence associated with Vietnamese culture into this particularly important project," Mr. Do Quang Hien shared.

At the event, Mr. Do Quang Hien also pledged to focus resources and human resources to implement the construction to ensure safety, quality and complete the project on schedule. On May 19, 2025, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the project is expected to be completed and put into use in phase 1, including the 9-storey waterfall, the reception center, the souvenir exhibition house, and the entire infrastructure and landscape. On May 19, 2026, the entire project will be completed.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Van Bai, former Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) highly appreciated a large corporation like T&T Group when it entered the field of cultural heritage, with the motto of doing purely cultural tourism and thinking from a cultural perspective, preserving cultural heritage.

In order to preserve and promote the value of the heritage that President Ho Chi Minh left for his homeland, in recent years, the leaders of the Party, the State and Nghe An province have always emphasized the task of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of the special national relic of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site, with the goal of building this place into a place to educate revolutionary patriotism, honoring the life and revolutionary career of Uncle Ho; a cultural and historical tourist complex associated with the typical characteristics of Nam Dan land and Nghe An province.

In 2018, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 962 approving the Master Plan for the conservation, restoration and promotion of the value of the special national relic site of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Nghe An.

With the support of T&T Group, after 2 years of research, project development, organizing international idea competitions and consultation conferences with the participation of leading domestic and international experts, receiving opinions from former leaders, leaders of the Party and State; the planning project was completed and approved by the Prime Minister by Decision No. 1943 dated November 27, 2020.

With the opportunity to accompany the People's Committee of Nghe An province from the early days of planning research to investing and constructing projects and key works of this special national relic, T&T Group wishes to express gratitude for the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh as well as demonstrate the responsibility of the next generation for preserving, embellishing and promoting historical values ​​related to the life and revolutionary career of Uncle Ho.

Kim Lien relic site (Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan, Nghe An) was established in 1956, is a place to preserve priceless relics about President Ho Chi Minh's hometown, family, and childhood, and marks profound memories of his two visits to his hometown.

After 67 years of formation, the special national relic of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nghe An has become a meaningful historical - cultural - tourist relic complex.

On November 27, 2020, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1943 approving the Planning for the conservation, restoration and promotion of the value of the special national relic of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien, Nam Dan District, Nghe An. The planning goal is to build this place into a place to educate revolutionary patriotism, honor the life and revolutionary career of Uncle Ho; an attractive cultural and historical tourist complex associated with the typical characteristics of Nam Dan land and Nghe An province.

Accordingly, the entire relic site (area of ​​287.86 hectares) is planned to become a memorial site for famous people, a place to welcome generations of Vietnamese and foreigners to visit the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh and learn about his childhood memories, and at the same time a historical - cultural tourist area of ​​national and international significance, a cultural - festival center, a space to experience the unique traditional culture of the countryside of North Central Vietnam.
