The Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition 2024 (SEMIExpo Viet Nam 2024) with the theme "Elevating Vietnam in the global semiconductor supply chain" will take place on November 7-8, at the National Innovation Center (NIC) Hoa Lac campus.

The exhibition is chaired by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, assigned to NIC and the Semiconductor Manufacturing International (SEMI) to coordinate the organization.
This is the first time SEMIExpo Viet Nam 2024 is held in Vietnam. The exhibition is expected to attract major semiconductor technology corporations in the world and Vietnam such as: Global Foundries, Amkor, AMD, Lam Research, Coherent, Cadence, KLA, Synopsys, Intel, Marvell, Onsemi Qorvo, FPT...
It is expected that SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 will welcome about 5,000 delegates.
At the press conference to inform about the Exhibition on the afternoon of October 23, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC, said that organizing SemiExpo Vietnam 2024 is a proactive step of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, aiming to carry out the tasks in the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy and the Human Resource Development Program for the Semiconductor Industry to 2030 and vision to 2050 approved by the Government.
Currently, Vietnam is facing the opportunity to participate deeply in the semiconductor industry and has clearly demonstrated its desire to become a link in the global supply chain. To take advantage of this opportunity, the Government has established a National Steering Committee for the Development of the Semiconductor Industry.
In recent times, Vietnam has also actively cooperated with the world's leading technology corporations to cooperate, invest, and develop the semiconductor industry ecosystem in Vietnam as well as develop high-quality human resources for this industry.
According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, by participating in SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024, organizations and enterprises will have the opportunity to promote the business environment, investment opportunities, and develop the semiconductor industry in Vietnam; connect investment and business between Vietnamese enterprises and foreign enterprises in the semiconductor field; update advanced technology trends in the world in the semiconductor industry, apply AI in microchip design; participate in dialogue with state management agencies to promote the development of the ecosystem and workforce for the semiconductor industry.
In addition, the event will also connect and provide scholarship information for students studying semiconductors; develop talents and human resources for the industry.

The NIC Director emphasized: "SemiExpo Vietnam 2024 will promote international cooperation to mobilize resources for the development of the semiconductor industry, connect business investment between domestic and foreign enterprises to develop an ecosystem of supporting industries, attract investment from the world's leading corporations and enterprises in the semiconductor field."
Meanwhile, Ms. Linda Tan, President of SEMI Southeast Asia, said that SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 is an important event for Vietnam because it is an emerging country in the global semiconductor supply chain.
“With strong government support and a focus on developing a robust semiconductor ecosystem, Vietnam is poised to make a significant contribution to the global supply chain. This event serves as a platform for collaboration, innovation and strategic partnerships, and SEMI hopes to contribute to the next phase of growth for the semiconductor industry in Vietnam and the wider Southeast Asian region,” she stressed.
During the 2-day event, there will be conferences, exhibitions, seminars, business networking programs and industry networking sessions.
Specifically: Forum "Elevating Vietnam in the global semiconductor supply chain"; Vietnam semiconductor industry exhibition 2024; workshop "Global semiconductor equipment market: What opportunities for Vietnam's manufacturing industry"; forum "Global cooperation in human resource development for the semiconductor industry"; Training program for Vietnamese students.
