Pepper prices today, February 21, 2025, in the domestic market are stable in key localities, trading from 160,000 - 162,500 VND/kg.

Specifically, pepper price today in Gia Lai is at 160,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices today in the provinces of Dong Nai (159,000 VND/kg); Dak Lak (162,000 VND/kg); Dak Nong (162,500 VND/kg); Ba Ria - Vung Tau (160,000 VND/kg) and Binh Phuoc (160,000 VND/kg).

Thus, pepper prices today continue to be stable in most key localities. The highest pepper price is at 162,500 VND/kg.

Domestically, pepper growers are currently entering the harvest season and will harvest at the end of February.

This year, pepper prices have continuously increased sharply since after Tet until now, up to 160,000 VND/kg, much higher than last year, so pepper growers are very excited.

In Dak Nong - where there are 34,000 hectares of pepper, farmers are entering the main harvest season, with total output estimated at about 70,000 tons.

Of the total area of ​​nearly 34,000 hectares of pepper, Dak Nong currently has 3,154 hectares of pepper that have been recognized by international and domestic certification organizations as meeting standards.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the productivity of many pepper gardens has decreased compared to previous years due to unfavorable weather, but thanks to high pepper prices, gardeners are still making a profit.

These days, pepper plants in Gia Lai province are entering the harvest season. After many years of "falling", the recovery of pepper prices is considered a good sign for pepper growers. Currently, pepper prices are above 150,000 VND/kg, the highest price in many years.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Cong, Director of Nam Yang Agricultural and Service Cooperative (Dak Doa district, Gia Lai province) said that this year, pepper prices have increased, along with relatively stable productivity at 2.5 - 3 tons/ha, helping people increase profits.

According to the report of the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Gia Lai province, there are currently about 7,500 hectares of pepper in the province with an average yield of about 3.5 tons/ha.

At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 7,298 USD/ton; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 6,800 USD/ton; the price of Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA at 9,000 USD/ton.

Muntok white pepper price is 10,143 USD/ton; ASTA Malaysian white pepper price is at 11,600 USD/ton.

Vietnam's black pepper price is traded at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,650 USD/ton; white pepper price at 9,550 USD/ton. IPC keeps pepper prices stable in other countries.
