Closing the books in 2024, state budget revenue reaches 26,845 billion VND

DNO - On the evening of December 31, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh chaired a conference to review the work of revenue, expenditure, state budget, commend exemplary enterprises and close the budget for 2024.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements in socio-economic development, especially budget revenue and expenditure, including the efforts of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee, the financial sector and localities.

In addition to budget collection, units and localities ensure spending according to required activities but still save on spending, ensuring budget balance, creating a solid foundation for the following years.

It can be said that the budget revenue results have a significant contribution from businesses. The business community has been striving to overcome many challenges to produce and do business effectively, making an important contribution to the city's socio-economic development.

The year 2025 poses many new requirements for the country in general and Da Nang city in particular, especially the implementation of new mechanisms and policies. The city's budget revenue target for 2025 is 10% higher than the estimate assigned by the Central Government.

“Therefore, we must be more determined and strive to achieve the set goals and tasks. The city leaders hope that authorities at all levels will make efforts to perform their functions and tasks to implement new mechanisms and policies. As for the business community, they will make more efforts to contribute to the sustainable growth of the city,” said the Secretary of the City Party Committee.

Director of the Da Nang State Treasury Phan Quang Thong said that the total state budget revenue in the city in fiscal year 2024 is 26,845 billion VND, reaching 138.93% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council, equal to 125.23% compared to the same period in 2023.

Of which: domestic revenue was 23,476.8 billion VND, reaching 148.68% of the estimate, equal to 129.11% over the same period; revenue from import-export activities was 3,320 billion VND, reaching 94.85% of the estimate, equal to 104.13% over the same period.

In Hoa Vang district, budget revenue was 750.74 billion VND, reaching 165% of the city's assigned estimate and 157.16% of the district's assigned estimate.

Total state budget expenditure in fiscal year 2024 is 30,867 billion VND, of which; central budget expenditure is 12,722 billion VND, local budget expenditure is 18,415 billion VND.

In addition to budget collection, at the time of closing the books, the city's budget balance was 23,831 billion VND, ensuring regular and important spending tasks for 2025.
