Mr. Vu Duc Huong, Chairman of Van Don District People's Committee informed about 5 new routes put into operation on Bai Tu Long Bay, including: Ao Tien Port - Tay Hoi Island - Lucky Cat Islet - Ban Sen Island - Nha Tro Cave; Ao Tien Port - Phat Co Cave - Pearl Farming Area (Den Rock Islet) - Lao Vong Sluice - Du Islet (Du Islet) - Minh Chau Island; Ao Tien Port - Lao Vong Sluice Village - Big Tra Ngo Island - Thien Nga Islet; Ao Tien Port - Cai De Area - Mang Ha Overnight Anchorage Point; Ao Tien Port - Tra Than Lagoon (Big Tra Ngo Island) - Cai Lim Beach - Mang Ha Overnight Anchorage Point - Cai De Area;

The tour connecting Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay has 2 itineraries including: Sightseeing spots on Ha Long Bay 4- Van Don to Thang Loi - Ngoc Vung - Quan Lan - Minh Chau islands; itinerary 2 is sightseeing spots on Ha Long Bay 4- Van Don including Ban Sen island, Nha Tro cave.

The itineraries combine spiritual tourism, sightseeing combined with eco-tourism, research tours, experiencing cultural and historical values; beach resorts, tourism associated with culture, sports... in Van Don district. The products have connections between Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, creating development space for Quang Ninh tourism, creating conditions for Van Don district to achieve the goal of welcoming over 2 million visitors, with estimated revenue of over 3,000 billion VND by 2025; striving to welcome over 8 million visitors by 2030, with revenue of over 10,000 billion VND.

Therefore, Van Don's infrastructure system has been continuously invested in and modernized, many projects have been completed and put into operation and used effectively such as the main connecting roads of the functional areas of Van Don Economic Zone, Van Don International Airport, Ao Tien International Port, Ha Long - Van Don Expressway, Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway... contributing significantly to the development of tourism and services. Up to now, tourism in Van Don District has had many positive changes, gradually affirming its role and position in the overall development of Quang Ninh. In 2024, the number of tourists coming to Van Don will reach over 1.8 million, with total revenue from tourism services reaching over VND 2,850 billion, contributing to increasing the district's economic growth rate to 28.1%.

Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh affirmed: In order to maximize the value of tourism resources and continue to build unique tourism products, Quang Ninh province has implemented a strategy for sustainable tourism development, protecting and promoting the value of the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long. The province also builds tourism itineraries connecting heritages, creating new and attractive experiences, contributing to promoting tourism development in Cam Pha city, Van Don district, Co To district and other areas.

This is also an important step in the province's roadmap to welcome 20 million tourists by 2025, associated with increasing tourism products, extending length of stay, increasing tourist spending, improving the quality of products and services; contributing to promoting economic development, improving the quality of people's lives and affirming Quang Ninh as a leading tourist destination in Vietnam.
