Summer opening, organizing free swimming classes

The summer opening program and free swimming classes took place at the Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Cultural Palace. This activity also aims to implement the directive of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on preventing and combating injuries and drowning; and managing and educating children, adolescents and students during the summer.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province and Mr. Bui Quang Huy - First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union; Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, along with hundreds of young people in the area.

After the summer opening ceremony, responding to the Action Month for Children 2024, the leaders of Quang Ninh province and the Central Youth Union opened a free swimming class for children in the summer of 2024.

There are also experiential activities at clubs, art classes, skills classes, sports classes and classes that develop thinking and life skills.

Within the framework of the program, the organizing committee awarded 200 scholarships (1 million VND/scholarship) to children who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies in the area.

The Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers have donated projects and gifts to children in Quang Ninh province.

In addition to the activities taking place at the Provincial Youth Cultural Palace, localities in the province also simultaneously organized the launch of the summer opening program in accordance with the province's direction on implementing "3 reductions, 3 increases" in caring for, managing and protecting children during the summer.

In which, "3 reductions" are reducing the number of adolescents and students involved in traffic accidents, injuries and drowning; reducing the number of adolescents and students involved in drug use in all forms; and reducing the number of adolescents and students engaging in bad behavior and breaking the law.

"3 increases" are to enhance skills for young people, especially swimming skills, life skills, and talents; to increase the organization of summer activities; and to increase the responsibility of the entire political system for the task of managing and educating young people.
