On April 14, the Marshall Island cruise ship Insignia with about 600 passengers arrived in Nha Trang City. In addition to visiting tourist attractions in the city, going for a walk along the beach by cyclo... many tourists chose to experience a countryside tour in the suburbs of Nha Trang City in Dien Hoa Commune, Dien Khanh District.
As soon as the journey begins, visitors can cycle through the village gate, passing coconut gardens, rice fields, lotus ponds, etc. Seeing buffaloes and cows being grazed by the locals, many people are delighted.
Ms. Lee Kreps (American tourist) said: "This is my first time coming to Nha Trang, the scenery and people are wonderful. I did yoga as a warm-up, then cycled to explore the countryside. I love the weather and climate here."

After exploring the countryside, visitors can take part in a cooking class to learn how to make traditional dishes such as spring rolls, pancakes, etc., from preparing ingredients to rolling spring rolls. Throughout the class, there was laughter and high concentration from visitors.
Enjoying the spring rolls he made himself, Mr. Pruce Godke (an American tourist) said that he often travels by ship and has been to Hanoi, Da Nang... Nha Trang gave him a very different experience of culture and people.
"What impressed me most were the smiles of children and the buffaloes grazing by the roadside, a peaceful scene just as I imagined.
I also really enjoyed the cooking class because I could wrap the cakes myself. When I return to the US, I will definitely cook for my friends to try Vietnamese food," said Mr. Pruce.
Mr. Pruce added that to make the countryside tour truly attractive, signs in the village roads should be arranged in English, because many tourists may get lost. There should be more shops selling local specialties, necessities and the sellers should communicate well in English.
In particular, tours should include taking tourists to local people's homes to see how they live and work... increasing the experience for tourists, such as joining the host in harvesting agricultural products and cooking.
Mr. Bui Minh Thang - Director of Phuong Thang Trade Tourism Company Limited - said: "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa has a lot of potential to develop countryside tours.
With creativity, travel agencies always create attractive tours. In which, the role of tour guides is very important, they need to evoke and highlight the traditional cultural beauty of Vietnam".
According to Mr. Thang, Nha Trang has the advantage of a seaport located right in the city, so traveling and sightseeing is very convenient. Not to mention that currently, shipping lines are focusing on building new cruise ships, so cruise tourism prices have met the needs of middle-class tourists, while expanding the source of tourists from Asian countries in addition to tourists from Europe, America, Australia, etc.
