Lam Dong wants to closely connect tourism with Ladakh region (India)

The program "Cultural exchange, tourism introduction between Lam Dong province - Vietnam and Ladakh - India" took place at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat city (Lam Dong) on ​​the evening of December 27.

This is an important event, marking the promotion of close cooperation between Lam Dong province - Vietnam and Ladakh region - India, and responding to activities celebrating the 130th anniversary of the formation and development of Da Lat city.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Pham S highly appreciated the cultural heritages, potentials and strengths in tourism development of India in general and Ladakh region in particular; at the same time, introduced the culture of Lam Dong and the unique tourism products of the locality; the opportunities and potentials that can be achieved if there is a tourism connection between the two regions of the two countries.

“After this program, we hope to continue to have close cultural and tourism connections between the two localities; thereby opening up many opportunities for cooperation in many fields between Lam Dong and Ladakh - India,” the Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

Mr. Tashi Gyalson, Executive Member - Chairman of Ladakh Union Territory, Ladakh Development Council shared: India and Vietnam are strengthening bilateral cooperation in many fields, from enhancing trade, business exchanges, economic cooperation, cultural exchanges to connecting people. As a representative of Ladakh, he considers it an honor and privilege to introduce the unique wonders of his homeland through this event.

With abundant tourism resources, a temperate climate, many beautiful natural landscapes, and valuable heritages, Lam Dong province has all the elements of "heavenly time, favorable terrain, and harmony" to develop cultural tourism. Especially the Samten Hills Dalat Spiritual Cultural Tourism Area in Lam Dong province, a new bright spot for Vietnam tourism in 2023.

Ladakh is a vast plateau of India, located in the majestic Himalayas. This land was the center of the ancient Silk Road. Today, Ladakh is known as a place steeped in the spirit of Buddhism, especially Vajrayana Buddhism.

With similarities in tourism development conditions, representatives of the government and travel companies of Ladakh - India met with the government of Lam Dong province to cooperate in tourism development.
