The badge of the Second Party Congress of President Ho Chi Minh, the pot used to cook jelly printed on documents for the Quynh Luu District Party Committee, Nghe An Province in the period of 1930-1931 or the flashlight given by Lang Son people to comrade Hoang Van Thu to use during his time of operation from 1940-1943... are all artifacts that demonstrate the 95-year journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In the early days of Spring 2025, the people of Hanoi capital lived in a bustling atmosphere celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and looking forward to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
In particular, through hundreds of valuable artifacts, documents and images on display at the National History Museum and Ho Chi Minh Museum, each Party member and cadre, the majority of people, especially the young generation, understand more clearly about the birth and wise leadership of the Party in building and defending the Fatherland as well as connecting the strength of great national unity.
Recreating historical milestones
Introducing more than 150 artifacts, documents, and images about the journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam on this occasion, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the National History Museum said that the Museum wishes to recreate historical milestones, while at the same time arousing pride, self-reliance, and creating positive motivation for every Vietnamese citizen to bring the country into a new era.
Here, the public will be able to directly learn about the Party's resolutions and documents, important works and speeches of the General Secretaries and Presidents through the Congresses such as: The book The Verdict of the French Colonial Regime, The Revolutionary Path by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc; Resolution of the First Conference, the Central Executive Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party on "Workers' Movement" and "Farmers' Movement" in October 1930...
This is also an opportunity for people to see with their own eyes the Political Platform of the Indochinese Communist Party drafted by comrade Tran Phu, approved at the First Central Conference in October 1930; The work Resistance Will Definitely Win by General Secretary Truong Chinh, written in 1951; The opening speech (with President Ho Chi Minh's autograph corrected in red ballpoint pen) presented at the Third National Congress of the Party on September 5, 1960; The opening speech of the Sixth National Congress of the Party presented by comrade Nguyen Van Linh - Politburo member on December 15, 1986...
Notably, the exhibition introduces a group of other valuable artifacts such as the conductor's baton that President Ho Chi Minh used to conduct the symphony orchestra, leading the beat of "Solidarity" at the gala celebrating the success of the 3rd National Congress of the Party organized by the Labor Youth Union at the Hanoi Botanical Garden on September 19, 1960; the coffin used to elect the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam at the 4th National Congress of the Party in December 1976...
Many young people were impressed with the beautiful hammer and sickle embroidered wool carpet of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Da district, Hanoi to welcome the 5th National Congress of the Party in March 1982, along with the daily necessities that people used to help revolutionary activists in the early period of Party building.
That is the pot that Mrs. Hoang Thi Thao (wife of comrade Ho Tung Mau - a typical revolutionary predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam) used to cook gypsum to print documents for the District Party Committee of Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province in the period of 1930-1931, the clay lamp that Mrs. Tran Thi Khanh gave to comrade Nguyen Van Trach to use during meetings and printing Party documents in Hai Duong in the period of 1939-1941.

Spirit of solidarity with the nation
With the theme “95 years of accompanying the nation”, the exhibition taking place at the Ho Chi Minh Museum contributes a vivid picture of the 95-year journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam in leading the country. The exhibition continues to affirm that under the leadership of the Party, the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese people has achieved great victories of epochal significance, changing the lives of each citizen and the destiny of the nation.
Here, the public can not only learn about valuable documents about the Communist Party but also admire some artifacts related to the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh collected from France in 2024, such as Nguyen Ai Quoc's photographer's business card redrawn from original documents for the exhibition "Ho Chi Minh in Paris" at the Montreuil Living History Museum in 2007, his handwritten signature on the page of the Golden Book of the city of Paris at the City Hall, July 4, 1946...
A prominent relic of President Ho Chi Minh is the badge of the Second National Congress of the Party held from February 11-19, 1951 in Vinh Quang commune, Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province - an event marking an important turning point of our country's revolution, laying the foundation for subsequent victories in the struggle to protect independence and build the country.
The badge is made of metal, 4.5cm in diameter; in the middle is embossed the words “Second Congress”; on the outside is the words “Indochinese Communist Party” and a hammer and sickle with the main colors being red and bronze. The badge is a historical testament to the unity and determination of the entire Party and people during the most difficult period of the resistance war against colonialism.
President Ho Chi Minh gave this badge to comrade Ta Quang Chien - his bodyguard from 1945-1957. And in 1987, comrade Ta Quang Chien presented the Ho Chi Minh Museum with a number of documents and artifacts, including this badge.
With great enthusiasm and expectations for this exhibition, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum emphasized: “Looking back at the past history, it can be affirmed that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is an important factor, deciding all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. It is in the process of leading the revolution that the Party is tempered, tested, constantly matured, worthy of its role and historical mission to lead the nation, worthy of the people's trust.
Always innovating its leadership methods, the Communist Party of Vietnam has enough courage, intelligence, experience, prestige and ability to lead the country to overcome all difficulties and challenges, bringing the country to prosperous development, and our people to have a prosperous, free and happy life.
Visiting the National Museum of History on the first day of Spring, Mr. Nguyen Viet Trung, a former student of Hanoi Law University, shared his proud feelings: “The 95-year journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam not only brings me confidence and pride but also concerns about how to study and practice harder to be worthy of the country's foundation, potential and position today as well as the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations”.
The young generation's awareness of the Communist Party of Vietnam further affirms the belief that the Party will always be present, everywhere, at all times, and closely associated with the people. As concluded by Dr. Vu Manh Ha, proud of the glorious Party, of the great President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people have more confidence in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam to continue to lead the Vietnamese nation into a new era of development - the era of national growth.
