Attending the discussion, many young people expressed their admiration and gratitude for having the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the history, significance, stature and valuable values that generations of youth volunteers, youth union members and people living and fighting on Route 1C have brought.

Dr. Le Hong Liem, Head of the Liaison Committee of Former Cadres of the Southern Vietnam Youth Union, spoke at the seminar.

On October 14, the Southern Vietnam Youth Union Former Cadres Liaison Committee held a discussion on “Route 1C yesterday and today”. The discussion was an opportunity for delegates to review the historical tradition of the legendary Route 1C during the years of resistance against the US to save the country.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Le Hong Liem, Head of the Liaison Committee of Former Cadres of the Vietnam Youth Union in the South, emphasized the importance of the 1C logistics route in providing timely and necessary support to the people and army of the Southwest during the war. Effective logistics operations on Route 1C were an important decisive factor in ensuring victory in the nation's long-term resistance war.
