On October 14, the Southern Vietnam Youth Union Former Cadres Liaison Committee held a discussion on “Route 1C yesterday and today”. The discussion was an opportunity for delegates to review the historical tradition of the legendary Route 1C during the years of resistance against the US to save the country.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Le Hong Liem, Head of the Liaison Committee of Former Cadres of the Vietnam Youth Union in the South, emphasized the importance of the 1C logistics route in providing timely and necessary support to the people and army of the Southwest during the war. Effective logistics operations on Route 1C were an important decisive factor in ensuring victory in the nation's long-term resistance war. The route transported more than 13,000 tons of weapons and transported more than 30,000 people back and forth on the Western battlefield...
