Responding to World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025

That is the theme in response to World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025.

April 21 of each year is chosen by the United Nations (UN) as the World Creativity and Innovation Day to raise awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in socio-economic development, building a sustainable society and promoting all aspects of human development.

In response to this important event, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Decision No. 536/QD-BKHCN approving the Plan to organize the response to World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025. At the same time, issued Official Dispatch No. 743/BKHCN-DMST requesting ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies; People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities; Central mass organizations and associations to launch responses and guide the organization of activities in response to World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025.

In the context that the whole country is focusing on and resolutely implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation (ST&I), to promote the combined strength of the entire political system, the active participation of enterprises, research institutes, universities and people in promoting innovation activities to serve socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, improve the quality of people's lives, and perform assigned functions and tasks, the Ministry of Science and Technology requests that agencies pay attention to, direct and organize activities to respond to and celebrate the World Day of Creativity and Innovation in 2025.

Purpose of the organization: Responding to the UN's annual World Day of Creativity and Innovation; promoting and popularizing in the community and the whole society to join hands in promoting innovation activities; creating a culture of innovation in the whole society; raising awareness of the role of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in sustainable socio-economic development and promoting all-round human development; promoting the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, so that science and technology becomes the driving force of the economy; Innovation is the main driver of growth; Digital transformation is a strategic tool to enhance national innovation capacity; promoting the development of the national innovation system, strengthening the connection between the enterprise sector - state - institutes/schools - startups - investors - community with the role of digital platforms connecting technology supply - demand, experts - ideas.

Events in response to World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025 with the theme: "Innovation - Think differently, Do differently for better"; "Innovation - Pioneering enterprises - Prosperous nation"; "Innovation for all - Comprehensive digital transformation - For a better life".

The slogan is "Warmly welcome to World Creativity and Innovation Day - April 21, 2025". Accordingly, the contents that need to be implemented to respond to World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025 include:

Firstly: Propagating and popularizing the purpose and meaning of World Creativity and Innovation Day; creatively communicating and popularizing the spirit of innovation.

Second: Disseminate and thoroughly understand throughout society the Party and State's breakthrough policies and guidelines on the development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation; the spirit of "contract 10" of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; new methods in managing science and technology and digital transformation activities (management by objectives, granting autonomy and responsibility to workers; accepting risks; evaluating based on efficiency...); new approaches to science and technology, digital transformation and digital transformation (digital transformation creates a good environment for digital transformation; digital transformation creates demand for technology development; technology development poses a problem for scientific research and basic research; science and technology becomes the driving force of the economy - digital transformation is the main driver of growth - digital transformation is a strategic tool to enhance national digital transformation capacity...); Key tasks and strategies that need to be implemented to make breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation in the new period.

Third: Organize and launch practical and meaningful activities and methods to implement innovation in each individual's work, the tasks of agencies, organizations, production, business and service activities of enterprises and the whole society; help increase productivity, labor efficiency, develop the economy and society, and improve the quality of life.

Fourth: Building a culture of innovation and creative spaces in various fields, associated with digital transformation.

Organizational form: Hanging banners and slogans with the above 3 topics at the headquarters of agencies and units; creative, multi-platform communication about activities, results, models, typical examples of application, transfer, innovation, technology development and innovation; organizing conferences, seminars, talks, direct or online exchanges; reports, documentaries; exhibitions, introductions, demonstrations... of achievements and results of scientific research, technology development and innovation activities; organizing and launching emulation movements, competitions, activities to promote the application of technology, new solutions, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, process improvements... in professional activities, production and business activities at each agency, organization, and enterprise; Commend, honor, reward or propose competent authorities to reward outstanding collectives and individuals with achievements and contributions to promoting science and technology and innovation activities in the industry and field.

The activities will be held from April 15-26, 2025; they can be coordinated and connected with activities to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day on April 26 and Vietnam Science and Technology Day on May 18.
