On the morning of January 24, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province held a press conference to inform about activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Attending the press conference were comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee for activities celebrating the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage (2014-2024); members of the Organizing Committee; nearly 100 reporters from central and local news agencies and newspapers.
Speaking at the opening of the press conference, comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Ninh Binh - a land of outstanding people, is the capital of Dai Co Viet State, the first centralized feudal state of Vietnam with many historical sediments and unique cultural imprints. Those geological, geomorphological and historical and cultural values have been identified by Ninh Binh province as the foundation, resources and driving force for sustainable development.

In 2014, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage. After 10 years of recognition, the management, exploitation, conservation and promotion of the heritage values have been well implemented; tourist areas and spots have played a core role in promoting tourism development, contributing significantly to the shift of economic structure from agriculture to services, towards green growth.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Currently, Ninh Binh is the only locality in Southeast Asia that owns a mixed cultural and natural world heritage. Trang An heritage is not only a treasure bestowed by nature, preserved and passed down by generations of Ninh Binh people to this day, but it is also a place where historical - cultural values and fine traditions of the nation converge and crystallize.
Organizing the event not only honors the achievements and contributions of organizations and individuals in managing, preserving and promoting the values of the Heritage, but also spreads the values of the Heritage, inspires and energizes the young generation about love for their homeland and country, and makes them more proud of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu as well as the importance of the Heritage to the nation, people and the world.
Accordingly, the 10th Anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage will be held with many exciting activities to connect and spread culture taking place from January 2024 to September 2024.
The focus is the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024. Along with that is a series of typical response activities and events, such as: Ancient Tet Festival (taking place in Hoa Lu Ancient Town); International Scientific Conference; Archaeological exhibition space on cultural values of the province and Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex; Ninh Binh Tourism Week "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An", National Tourism Culinary Culture Festival; Journalism contest, songwriting, literary works about Ninh Binh province and Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex...

At the press conference, representatives of news agencies and press asked questions about a number of contents such as: advantages and difficulties after 10 years of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being listed; the connection between Ninh Binh and cities with heritage in the country as well as participating in the network of world heritage cities; Ninh Binh's experience in ensuring harmony between development and heritage conservation; the province's orientation in building a Millennium Heritage urban area...
At the press conference, members of the Organizing Committee exchanged and provided information that reporters from news agencies and newspapers were interested in. Through the press conference, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, hoped to receive more support and cooperation from media agencies and newspapers so that the celebration activities would be successful. Thereby, continuing to honor, promote and spread the values of the Heritage associated with sustainable tourism development, creating a premise for Ninh Binh to build a Millennium Heritage City in the future.
