Nguyen Phong Hong Duy left the Vietnam national team right after joining the training camp. This player was injured in the match between Nam Dinh FC and Hanoi FC. After examination, the medical team of the Vietnam national team determined that Hong Duy needs about 2 weeks to recover.
Coach Troussier decided to send the Nam Dinh club player back to his home team for treatment. The Vietnam national team did not add any other players to replace him.

On June 17, the reserve team of the Vietnamese team will have a practice match with Hai Phong Club. The main team will compete with the Syrian team on June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh).
