Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Union: Bringing the art music night "Borders, islands in my heart" to the people of Ben Cau border area

This is an activity within the March Border Month program series organized and implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union of Vietnam.

On the evening of March 29, at Long Phuoc Border Guard Station (Long Phuoc commune, Ben Cau district), the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) and the Youth Cultural House, the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Social Work Center coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of Tay Ninh province to organize the art performance program "Borders and islands in my heart" in 2025.

Attending the event were Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Luy - Head of the Military Security Protection Department, Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard; Mr. Truong Minh Tuoc Nguyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Mai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Tay Ninh province.

The program is organized to serve the people, officers and soldiers in the border area, staged and performed by artists, beauty queens, runners-up, models and actors in the Ho Chi Minh City Volunteer Artist Team. Among them, there are famous artists who have made many contributions to volunteer art performances such as singer Phuong Thanh, MC Quynh Hoa, actress Tuyet Thu...

The art performance program took place vibrantly with many unique and impressive art performances such as singing and dancing, fashion shows, and circus performances.

With the spirit of performing with all their heart, the volunteer artists brought to the people in the border areas vibrant youth rhythms, songs about love for the homeland, country, and soldiers in the border and island areas.

Besides the attractive art program, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union presented meaningful works and projects to the people and children of the border communes of Ben Cau district.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union presented 50 scholarships from the “Vu A Dinh” Scholarship Fund along with white notebooks, school supplies, and milk to ethnic minority students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies in the border area of ​​Ben Cau district, each worth 1 million VND; presented gifts to Long Phuoc Border Guard Station and 30 gifts to border guards who are working and performing duties at Border Guard Stations, Border Guard posts, and Militia posts in Ben Cau district; presented 23 sets of Ao Dai to female teachers at schools in Ben Cau district, each worth 5 million VND.

Promoting the pioneering role of young people joining hands to build the border area, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union sent to the border districts of Tay Ninh many meaningful and practical youth projects such as: "Knowledge for Children" project with 250 books; in coordination with the Lao Dong Newspaper, presented 500 national flags to the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union Committee to deploy and implement the movement "I love my Fatherland" and the program "Proud of the National Flag"; donated funds to build charity houses for students who have overcome difficulties to study well in Ben Cau district with a budget of 60 million VND, in response to the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in coordination with the Lao Dong Newspaper presented 500 national flags to the Tay Ninh Province Youth Union Committee.

Along with the activities taking place in Ben Cau district, the District Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Tan Binh district coordinated to implement the project of Lighting up the border patrol road in Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province with a value of 67 million VND.

The art performance program "Border, sea and islands in my heart" and meaningful gifts from Ho Chi Minh City youth left a good impression in the hearts of people in the border area of ​​Ben Cau district. The joint efforts of the youth of the two units have contributed to beautifying the border area, improving the lives of people in the border area and becoming citizens who stick to the land, preserve and protect the border area.
