(NB&CL) In recent days, in all regions of the country, as an annual tradition, the Spring Newspaper Festival has been taking place bustlingly in many localities with a variety of fresh colors, exhibitions, displays, Spring newspaper cover judging interwoven with cultural festivals, honoring authors, award-winning works... All seem to be creating a new spring start, on the eve of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Spring colors spread…
At ATK Dinh Hoa Square, Thai Nguyen, from early morning on February 7 (ie January 10 of the lunar calendar), journalists, members, press public from all over the country and local people were eagerly present... This year, the At Ty Spring Press Festival in Thai Nguyen was held together with the Long Tong Festival, truly creating an unforgettable impression. The activities here were extremely vibrant, not only displaying special publications but also having an area to introduce and perform tea culture at the Tea Enjoyment Camp; Space to introduce the culture of ATK Dinh Hoa ethnic groups, typical cultural features and introduce tangible and intangible culture, introduce OCOP products, typical products, cuisine of Dinh Hoa district... The space of the festival was expanded, diverse in color.
Sharing about the innovation of this year's event, journalist Nguyen Bao Lam - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association said that 2025 is a year marking a special milestone for the Vietnamese press, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. To make a mark, since the end of last year, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association has proactively developed a plan to organize the Spring Press Festival and discussed with the leaders of Dinh Hoa district to organize this meaningful activity. The Provincial Journalists Association organizes a space to display and introduce the press, attracting people and tourists from all over the country to be interested in the festival, to ATK Dinh Hoa, enriching the activities to welcome the new spring in the revolutionary homeland.
The calligraphy area for the first words of the year at the Thai Nguyen Province Spring Newspaper Festival attracted public attention.
“We wish to bring to readers and people a multi-faceted press space, with a full range of special press publications introduced, such as: provincial press space, central press space, magazines, newsletters of departments, branches, and sectors; book introduction space to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; electronic newspaper space, virtual studio simulation, tea-drinking and newspaper-reading areas…” – Mr. Bao Lam affirmed.
Not only Thai Nguyen, many Journalists Associations across the country also choose to organize a Press Festival combined with a cultural festival, creating its own identity... Coming to the Spring Press Festival in Bac Giang this year is more meaningful when it continues to be held at the Tay Yen Tu spiritual - ecological tourist area, an important event in the series of activities of the Culture - Tourism Week of Bac Giang province in 2025, interwoven with the Festival honoring journalists. The Spring Press Festival in Cao Bang brings an interesting experience with an exhibition of beautiful photos of Cao Bang tourism and Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark. The Spring Press Festival in the mining land of Quang Ninh is organized in conjunction with the introduction of spring flowers, ornamental plants, traditional craft village products... making the Festival more bustling, imbued with the colors of spring.
Many local associations also attract the public by collaborating with many local units such as the Department of Culture, Sports, Tourism, libraries, districts, communes, etc. to organize cultural and artistic activities, folk games in early spring, promote tourism, and display cultural spaces such as: Vietnamese Tet space, calligraphy space, Vietnamese costume space, with check-in points imbued with Vietnamese culture past and present, etc.

"The new spirit and momentum entering the era of national growth is vividly expressed in publications, creating an atmosphere full of vitality, strong will and aspiration of the country entering the new spring..." - Mr. Ta Dinh Nghia said.
