It is expected that by January 20, all 14,742 poor, near-poor households, and policy families in Thai Nguyen province will receive Tet gifts in cash, with a minimum of VND600,000/household and gift bags worth VND500,000.
Speaking to Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reporter, Mr. Duong Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province said that it is expected that by January 20, all poor, near-poor and policy households in the province will receive gifts for the Lunar New Year 2025. The total cost of gift giving is about 15 billion VND, of which the provincial Fatherland Front transfers 4.8 billion VND to localities.
From January 13 to now, Thai Nguyen province has also assigned the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, and other sectors to give gifts to households and policy households in localities in the province.
Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee visited, wished a happy new year and presented gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution, as well as poor households in Pho Yen city. The delegation presented 100 Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households in Tan Huong, Nam Tien, Dong Cao and Tien Phong wards (each gift worth 1.2 million VND).
In addition, the Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Mr. Tran Duc Kiem, born in 1947, a war invalid and resistance activist infected with toxic chemicals, and Mr. Do Xuan Truong, born in 1950, also a war invalid infected with toxic chemicals; both residing in Tan Huong ward.
The delegation led by Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province visited and presented gifts to two Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, including: Mother Pham Thi Nhi, born in 1937, residing in Ba Van 4 hamlet, Binh Son commune; Mother Duong Thi Nang, born in 1926, residing in Vinh Quang 1 residential group, Chau Son ward.
Mr. Pham Hoang Son asked about the health and expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; wished them a peaceful and happy New Year of the Snake, a joyful and healthy life, and to always be a shining example for their children and grandchildren to follow.
The delegation presented gifts to poor and near-poor households during the “Tet Peak Week for the Poor” in 2025 at Song Cong City Party Committee. Here, Mr. Pham Hoang Son and delegates presented 100 Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households in the city.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, led the delegation to visit, present gifts and wish a Happy New Year to families of people with revolutionary contributions and 100 poor and near-poor households in Phu Luong district.
Chairman Nguyen Huy Dung presented Tet gifts to four policy families, including: Mrs. Le Thi Ty, mother of a martyr, in Pho Trao hamlet; Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, a war invalid, infected with toxic chemicals, in Pho Trao hamlet; Mr. Tran Ngoc Kim, a war veteran infected with toxic chemicals, in Khe Thuong hamlet; Mr. Luong Van Dien, a war veteran infected with toxic chemicals, in An Khe hamlet.
Mr. Duong Van Tien, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, led the delegation to visit and present Tet gifts to 100 poor households in Dinh Hoa district (each gift worth 1.2 million VND).
In addition, Mr. Tien visited, wished a happy new year, and gave gifts to families of people with revolutionary contributions (each gift worth 1.3 million VND), including: Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, born in 1953, in Tan Tien 4 hamlet, a war invalid with 21% health loss; Mr. Nguyen Van Quat, born in 1950, in Tan Tien 3 hamlet, both in Tan Duong commune. At the same time, he authorized the leaders of Dinh Hoa district to give gifts to the family of Mr. Hoang Hong Thanh, born in 1950, in Quyet Tam hamlet, a war invalid with 81% health loss; gave gifts (worth 1.2 million VND/gift); wished longevity to Mrs. Ngo Thi Nham, born in 1930, an elderly person, in Vu Luong hamlet, both in Trung Luong commune.
