On the morning of October 10, a representative of the People's Committee of Quyet Thang Commune (Hai Duong City) said that the last household whose land was recovered had received compensation, support and handed over the site to implement the new residential area project in Quyet Thang Commune.
Thus, Hai Duong City People's Committee and local authorities do not have to enforce site clearance according to the approved plan.
The new residential area project in Quyet Thang commune is nearly 10 hectares wide; 371 households are subject to agricultural land acquisition for the project. Through compensation and support payments, 370 households have received money and handed over the land.
On October 3, 2024, the People's Committee of Hai Duong City issued a decision to enforce land recovery for the remaining household and established an Enforcement Implementation Board. According to the plan, the land recovery will be enforced on October 14.
