Thousands of people attend the opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Festival "Heritage Flow"

(Dan Tri) - Ninh Binh Festival with its journey connecting the past, present and future, following the millennial flow of the country's history, honoring the unique cultural and architectural heritage values of the nation.

On the evening of November 24, at Dinh Tien Hoang De Square (Ninh Binh city), Ninh Binh province held the opening ceremony of the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival with the theme Heritage Flow.

The 3rd Ninh Binh Festival is part of a series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage and to respond to Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day.

Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, said that the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival (2024) affirms the province's determination and efforts in developing cultural industry, entertainment industry, and heritage economy.

In addition, it affirms that the preservation and promotion of the quintessence of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is part of the flow of national cultural heritage; promoting cultural exchanges between provinces and cities in the country and internationally; creating unique cultural products to attract tourists, creating solidarity, cohesion, promoting peace, cooperation and development.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission, said that the planning of Ninh Binh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, identifies the development perspective of Ninh Binh province as "green, sustainable and harmonious"; "taking tourism and cultural industry as spearheads".

According to Mr. Trung, this shows that Ninh Binh province's vision is supported by the Central Government in promoting the role of culture in serving socio-economic development, contributing to the overall development of the country.

The Head of the Central External Relations Commission added that Ninh Binh is a region with a unique culture, making many contributions to the diverse picture of national culture. Over the years, the province has actively researched, identified, clarified and implemented synchronous solutions to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage, which has been recognized and highly appreciated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In particular, building a brand and innovating the way of organizing the Festival every year to spread the values of heritage and traditional cultural values, making cultural heritage truly a resource for socio-economic development, is one of the outstanding activities, effective and with high brand value.
