According to the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the An Duong overpass construction project from Thang Loi Hotel to Quang An flower market will complete the entire route and is expected to open to technical traffic on June 30.
The project to build an overpass at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection aims to overcome traffic congestion.
For the section from Quang An flower market to the end of the route, before June 30, the construction team will roughly pave and remove piles from the first 200m of the route (Hong Ha, towards the flower market) and the last 200m of the route (Thuan An, adjacent to Lac Long Quan intersection).
Painting, traffic organization, and railing work from Thang Loi Hotel to Quang An flower market will be completed in July 2024.
Before July 20, construction units strive to complete grade I crushed stone for the remaining 1,000m of the route. Immediately after that, the rough paving work will be completed before July 30.
Contractors will complete lighting and tree installation at Thang Loi Hotel and Quang An flower market in August 2024.
It is known that the design documents and estimates of the project to build an overpass at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection were adjusted in June 2024 for appraisal in early July 2024.
"After completion, the project is expected to overcome traffic congestion at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection, and at the same time connect the area outside the dike to the inner city through An Duong border gate. The project aims to facilitate quick connection between Ba Dinh district and Noi Bai airport through Nhat Tan bridge route.
