Spain Striker Mason Greenwood assisted Gaston Alvarez to score, in Getafe's 2-2 draw with Bilbao in round 7 of La Liga.
In the 51st minute, Greenwood took a corner kick from the left wing and sent the ball into the penalty area. Then, Gaston Alvarez headed the ball off a Bilbao defender and changed direction into the goal. This was Greenwood's first mark for Getafe after three appearances.
Berchiche had opened the scoring for Bilbao in the 6th minute. However, after Sancet received a red card in the first half's injury time, the home team began to lose control of the game. 11 minutes after Alvarez's equalizer, Inaki Williams' cross-angle shot made it 2-1 for Bilbao. But the home team once again lost the lead. In the 83rd minute, Latasa headed in an equalizer for Getafe.

Greenwood moved to Getafe in August on loan from Man Utd. Before that, the 21-year-old striker was accused of sexually assaulting and beating his girlfriend, forcing him to retire from playing since January 2022. Although the police and Man Utd declared Greenwood innocent, the striker had to leave Old Trafford due to public pressure.
Yesterday, Greenwood played the full 90 minutes. This was the first time he started in 613 days, since Man Utd's 1-0 win over West Ham on January 22, 2022. In the previous two matches against Osasuna and Sociedad, Greenwood came on as a substitute.
Greenwood was one of the best young players at Man Utd. He played for the first team at the age of 17 years and 156 days, and was the second youngest player to play for Man Utd in European competition after Norman Whiteside. In 129 appearances for Man Utd, Greenwood scored 35 goals, including 22 goals in 83 Premier League matches.
Getafe are currently tenth in La Liga, with eight points from seven games. Last season, the Madrid side finished 15th out of 20 teams.
