Contribute creativity and intelligence to the development of the country

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Nga - Director of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change said that the Association of Women Intellectuals of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change was established under Decision No. 43/QD-BTV dated October 10, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals, becoming the 33rd Association under the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals.

The Association of Women Intellectuals of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change has a team of members including 1 Associate Professor, 9 PhDs, and many Masters, playing a key role in implementing the Institute's scientific research activities and participating in the Institute's doctoral training. The members have successfully published more than 200 articles in prestigious domestic and international journals; creating a favorable environment for participating in scientific research, service, transfer and training activities as well as building an innovative and creative collective.

This is an honor for the female staff of the Institute to be able to join the common home of Vietnamese female intellectuals, an environment for female intellectuals to promote their creativity and intelligence to contribute more to the common development of society.

In order to enhance the role and responsibility of female intellectuals in the integration era, the Association of Female Intellectuals of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change has set out clear and specific directions and tasks for the 2023-2028 term such as: Propagating, mobilizing, and focusing on female intellectuals to play the role of building and sustainably developing innovation and creativity in scientific research and applying science to practice.

Cooperate in developing interdisciplinary projects aimed at Government projects of countries aiming at supporting women in engineering; Propose recommendations and legitimate aspirations of female intellectuals to the Institute's Leadership to build policies and guidelines so that members have conditions to develop their potential, effectively contribute to the development of the Institute, and build the country's innovation.

Next, the Association needs to actively participate in the activities of the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals through scientific seminars and forums to connect and exchange among female intellectuals of the Associations, research institutes, enterprises, etc. to support members in applying research results and research topics to life.

In order to improve the quality of activities of the Association of Women Intellectuals of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change, in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to improve professional qualifications and professional capacity, participate in domestic and international scientific conferences; take scientific and technological research activities as a driving force for training, research, start-ups, etc. of female intellectuals, as a premise for effective scientific research.

In activities on International Women's Day, Vietnamese Women's Day, Women's Movement, etc., the Institute's Association needs to coordinate with the Women's Union to carry out common activities of the Institute to promote the spirit of dedication, ability, and intelligence for the common development of Vietnamese female intellectual human resources.
